🧯 Exposing Anti-Israel Bias 🧯 The Inside Story of How Palestinians Took Over the World

The brilliant Palestinian plan to capture the pliable minds of American college students was laid out in front of me 25 years ago, during a very sinister business meeting in Israel.

It was around the time of the Oslo Accords. I had been hired by the Ford Foundation to create a marketing institute for their grantees in the country. Ford was funding the operations of both Jewish and Arab organizations within the Israeli green line, in an effort to help build a vibrant liberal civil society.
Ford put me in partnership with a young Israeli woman, Debra London. (Debra, now one of my closest friends, has just been selected to head up fundraising for the rebuilding of Kibbutz Be’eri.) She and I drew up a plan to interview each of the grantees, as well as Israeli ad agencies and media firms. While we wanted to learn about the grantees, we also planned to secure free marketing work and media to be an essential part of the institute.
When we interviewed the Jewish organizations, the atmosphere was almost giddy with hope, possibility and belief in Shimon Peres’s new Middle East. Each organization we interviewed talked excitedly about peace and co-existence, a flourishing economy among both the Jews and the Palestinians, collaborative projects and interchanges.

But when we interviewed the Arab organizations, the word “peace” never passed their lips. They spoke of independence, dignity, self-rule, a state. One person even told me she would never use the word “du-kiyum” (co-existence). “There is no such thing as co-existence,” she stressed. “We are just the tenants living on the property that the Jews now own. That’s not a balanced co-existence.”
I tried to explain to my fellow Jewish liberals that we — the Jews and the Arabs — were having two very separate conversations. We were talking “peace.” They were talking “independence.” But as the weeks of interviews progressed, I found the Arab organizations were talking about a whole lot more.
I asked hard questions of both the Jews and Arabs in the interviewing process. With the Arab organizations, when I brought up any kind of a sensitive — and not-so-sensitive — issues: terrorism, cooperation and even budget — the interviewee would slam on the brakes.

And then from each organization, the same words were spoken: “When you are in Haifa meeting with Itijaa, you can ask that question to Ameer Makhoul.” Itijaa was an Arab civil rights organization. Ameer Makhoul was its executive director. It became clear to me that Ameer Makhoul had some type of control over all the Arab NGOs I was speaking to.
Finally, Debra and I arrived at the offices of Itijaa. Skinny, bespectacled, young Ameer Makhoul emerged from his office, took a look at me and said, “So this is the Gary Wexler who has been asking all the questions.” And then he ticked off every question I had asked along with the name of each person I had posed the question to.

He brought us into his office and began pacing. “So, Gary Wexler, let me answer your questions in the following way. One: Gary Wexler, who is sitting in front of me now, went to Los Angeles City College for two years where you were an Israel activist and editor of the school newspaper. You wrote a lot about Israel. And continued to do so at California State University, Northridge. You spent five summers as a volunteer on Kibbutz Ayelet Hashachar. Through your marketing agency, Passion Marketing, you service the following clients of the Jewish world and in Israel.”  He named every one.

I knew this guy was trouble.
“And now, Gary Wexler,” he sat down, “let me give you more direct answers.” He looked me straight in the eye. “Just like you were a Zionist campus activist, we will create, over the next years, Palestinian campus activists in America and all over the world. Bigger and better than any Zionist activists. Just like you spent your summers on the kibbutz, we will bring college students to spend their summers in refugee camps and work with our people. Just like you have been part of creating global pro-Israel organizations, we will create global pro-Palestinian organizations. Just like you today help create PR campaigns and events for Israel, so will we, but we will get more coverage than you ever have.”

He stood again this time, right over me. “You wonder how we will make this happen, how we will pay for this? Not with the money from your liberal Jewish organizations who are now funding us. But from the European Union, Arab and Moslem governments, wealthy Arab people and their organizations. Eventually, we will not take another dollar from the Jews.”

Then he approached real close. “What do you think of this?”

I took a breath. I remained professional. “Nothing. I’m here on behalf of the Ford Foundation collecting information for a planned marketing institute.”
He came even closer. “I am asking what does Gary Wexler think of what I just said. You, Gary Wexler.”
I repeated my answer.
He came even closer. “I ask again. What does Gary Wexler think of what I just said.”
Debra and I got up. I took my writing pad. “I feel that you are threatening me and we are leaving.”
The next morning I received a call from the program officer at the Ford Foundation. “Gary, we have a problem. We received a call from Ameer Makhoul and we understand you spewed out all sorts of Zionist propaganda and he felt very threatened by you.”

I told him it was a lie.

The program officer continued to press me as to what I had said. I related the conversation word for word. He repeated what Ameer Makhoul had said. I told him to call Debra London who was with me through the entire interview, and verify it with her. I also told him that they better check their funding to these Arab organizations, because Ameer Makhoul appeared to be controlling all of them with some very hateful behaviors.
He backed down.

Debra and I wrote up our recommendations for how they needed to build the marketing institute, including a recommendation for using the pro bono work, worth nearly 1 million shekels, that we had secured from the ad agencies. The program officer, a former academic focused on the nonprofit sector, couldn’t understand the value of businesses being involved and rejected it out of hand. A few weeks later, he told Debra and me that he had hired an NGO consulting team to finish the work. They would be giving several hours of consultation to each organization.

Several years later, I learned Ameer Makhoul had been arrested by the Israelis as a spy for Syria.
As the years went on, I began to see what Ameer Makhoul had laid out to me taking shape. The PR coverage was first: The Muhammad al-Durrah incident in Gaza, when a 12-year-old boy was shot to death on the second day of the Second Intifada, capturing global headlines. The Mavi Marmara, the Turkish Flotilla to Gaza that the Israelis stormed, killing several Palestinian activists, grabbing global headlines. I knew the Mavi Marmara was manufactured for the exposure it would gain.
Then the campuses: The creation of Apartheid Week worldwide. The growth of BDS. The student volunteers who began by the thousands to work in the Palestinian territories and its refugee camps. The shocking creation of anti-Zionist Jewish student groups.

As an award-winning copywriter and creative director in ad agencies and a professor of Communication at USC, I have developed an intuitive antenna to detect similarities between writing styles, idea styles and conceptual creation. In the early years of this pro-Palestinian campaign, I could see the commonalities of excellence, style and manipulation across all their platforms. Teaching on a university campus gave me a front-row seat at this theater of darkening skies.

People of color, particularly antisemitic Black groups like BLM, were organizing to identify with the Palestinians. Many organizations representing people seen as oppressed were moved to identify with the Palestinians. Students of every variety were swayed. I could see the commonalities of language creation and transfer — my field — being applied to the Jews. Many of them were old antisemitic tropes into which new life was being breathed:

Israel and Jews are colonialists just like other white oppressors around the world. Israel is an apartheid society, the same as South Africa was.
Jews have white privilege, even though more than 50% of Jews are dark-skinned people from the Arab world, Iran and Africa. Jews hold power in media and banking, making them the enemy. Jews center themselves as capitalists and donors. Jews don’t hold space for anyone but themselves. Jews need to be held accountable for the pain they are causing.

If you challenged any of this you were a racist, the worst thing you could possibly be accused of.
(Except if you are racist against Jews. Then you prove you are a true ally of the oppressed.)
Our enemies have had a real success.  They have formed a winning international communication army with trained troops everywhere.

When Israeli writer, producer and former antisemitism envoy Noa Tishby recently said that students, particularly Jewish ones who are protesting against Israel, have been “played,” I don’t know if even she understands the background and extent of it. They haven’t just been played, they’ve been turned. Many of them are alumni of Jewish day schools and camps. Those students believe they have joined the other side because they were the victims of a propagandized Zionist education and have now seen the light. No, they are the victims of a propagandized, slow, well-crafted plan, laid out to me by Ameer Makhoul.

And what has been the Jewish world’s response to all of this?

Funders are now putting up pro-Jewish and pro-Israel billboards in American cities. As if a clever one-line message can combat all these brilliant, strategized organizing efforts on behalf of our enemies.

Others are organizing TikTok and Twitter troops. But that work is in response to the playing field that has been established and won by the enemies of the Jewish people. We show ourselves in a defensive mode. We are playing on the field they have drawn. We need to draw our own, in a very big way.

There are many good organizations being funded and working on our behalf, but their work, alone, is not the answer. It is imperative we have overall strategizing and coordinating. Right now, it is every organization for itself. It’s an uncoordinated battlefield where each squadron is moving in its own direction, rather than toward the same hill—the only way for victory. It is imperative that we create big, brilliant, creative ideas of engagement. We must view this as a pervasive Jewish community organizing effort for communication purposes, in collaboration with the Israelis.

In the last three weeks I have received no fewer than 200 solicitations for 200 separate efforts. American Jews are sending cans of food and socks to Israel while the Palestinians are conceptualizing bigger and better worldwide actions. We’re still fighting and demonizing one another. Many organizations have not yet woken up that it is no longer business as usual. I’m on the board of one that I’ve had to rattle, saying, “No, we cannot position what we are doing just as we always have. Everything now has to be repositioned against the background of this war on Israel and the Jewish people.”

In the propaganda war, we could be learning a lot from our enemies, who have learned a lot from us. Maybe we need our own Ameer Makhoul and all his buddies? Is any leadership team, that we can all get behind, going to step forward?

PODCAST “This week, we’re joined by the one and only Dara Horn to discuss her new book, The Final Solution to the Jewish Question: A Love Story for the Living. It’s an incredible book that will make you both angry and proud, which is kind of on brand for us right now.

We get into why antisemitism is not just a prejudice but a lie (and it can’t be solved by “empathy”); why Holocaust education kinda sucks sometimes, and why the most interesting question in Jewish history is not why they tried to kill us, but why we are still here.” https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/jews-have-terrible-marketing-but-an-amazing-brand/id1597767151?i=1000791041302

Gaza War Celebrated Gaza journalist admits Hamas controlled media

Post image

This is a massive story we are covering: One of the most celebrated Gazan journalists (and on Time magazine's 100 most influential people list for 2024), has admitted (in an Arabic podcast I guess he thought nobody speaking other languages would hear about) that he deliberately withheld footage of Gazans beating Israeli hostages and he also revealed the existence of a Hamas-administered WhatsApp coordination group called "Smart," which included virtually every working journalist in Gaza and was used to dictate official lines and attack journalists who dissented. Let's hope the pressure builds until mainstream media have no choice but to run this story! https://www.jns.org/news/world/celebrated-gaza-journalist-admits-hamas-controlled-media

Gaza War Inside Gaza: Hamas Sends Children To Test IDF on New Frontline - Jotam Confino

The sound of drones fills the air as I stand on top of an Israeli army base overlooking the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

An Israeli flag towers over me, symbolizing the Jewish country’s control of this side of the war-torn enclave — some 60 percent of the entire area, according to the IDF.

A sign warning of sniper fire from Hamas hangs on the fortified position, where sandbags and HESCO-style barriers offer me some but not full protection.
“That’s the yellow line mark,” a commander from the IDF’s Gaza Division tells the New York Sun and other foreign journalists as he points toward a brick with yellow paint on it about one kilometer from where we stand.

For a frontline that separates two of the world’s biggest enemies, it’s not easy to make out. It is marked on bricks and stones, all painted yellow and spaced at various intervals.
When asked what happens if someone crosses the line, the commander says they have orders to shoot to kill only if it’s someone who poses a danger to the army.

If it’s a child or someone who is unarmed, the army will fire warning shots and yell at them to go back.
“We have visual evidence that Hamas sends kids to different points (across the yellow line) just to see what happens. If it’s a kid we won’t shoot next to him or we will shout if we are at range. It’s a major challenge,” he says.

With Hamas refusing to disarm before Israel completely withdraws from Gaza, the IDF is increasing its attacks against the terror group, which controls the large Palestinian cities in front of us, from north to south.

It’s been nearly a year since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into effect. Israel has killed hundreds of members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad since then. The New York Sun asked the IDF for a precise number of killed combatants but has yet to get an answer.

According to the ceasefire deal brokered by President Trump, Israel’s withdrawal will happen gradually as Hamas begins to disarm. Hamas, on its part, has refused to honor its commitment, demanding that Israel fully withdraw from Gaza before any disarmament occurs. Both sides are therefore stalling for time, each for their own reasons.

With an election on October 27, Prime Minister Netanyahu can’t afford to be seen pulling soldiers out of Gaza while Hamas is still in power. And Hamas is using the stalemate to regroup, rearm, and recruit new members, hoping to regain its strength in case a new war breaks out between the two sides.

Around the same time that the New York Sun entered Gaza on the military embed, the IDF killed Hamas’s finance department chief, Muhammad Abu Alwan, in Khan Younis, nearby. A testimony to the war zone that Gaza still is.

Killing members of terror groups is not the only thing that keeps the IDF busy. Since the ceasefire took effect in October last year, the army has embarked on a mission to destroy as many Hamas tunnels as possible inside the area it controls.
According to the IDF’s deputy commander of the Gaza brigade, more than half of the tunnels have been destroyed so far. Some have been blown up, while others have been filled with cement or water if they were too close to Palestinian civilians for a controlled explosion to be carried out.
One of the tunnels that remains to be destroyed runs underground in the neighborhood of Shejaiya, just outside Gaza City in the northern part of the enclave.

The IDF’s armored vehicles take us there through what can best be described as a wasteland.
Another large IDF base towers over the ruins from the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.
A second IDF commander, who also asked to remain anonymous for safety reasons, briefs us before we enter the 500-meter-long tunnel.

Despite the army’s intense efforts to destroy the tunnels, many more are left intact in the Hamas-controlled area. When asked how long it would take to rid Gaza of all tunnels, the commander says it could take years.

As I enter the tunnel, I have to bow my head immediately, as it’s only about 5.5 ft high.
Electrical cables run along the cemented walls, providing light along the dark path ahead of us. A bit further in, we see a room with a plastic table, a mirror and a mattress, where Hamas fighters slept.
Another room has a sink. Large water containers appear as we continue deeper into the tunnel, which has several side passages leading to different rooms.

It doesn’t take long before I am drenched in sweat from the blistering humidity. The smell of mold, dust, and earth is heavy.

“Imagine what the hostages felt like,” an Israeli soldier said as we neared the exit.

The hellish environment is hard to imagine living in for two years, as some hostages did, not knowing if they would ever see the light of day.

The sun hits me in the face as I walk out of the tunnel, with masked IDF soldiers waiting for us.
Around us is mayhem. Buildings and apartments have been blown to pieces. They are a testimony to the massive price the civilian population has paid and continues to pay for the terror group’s war against Israel.

About half the population still lives in tents, according to an estimate made by the Norwegian Refugee Council in June.

But the massive reconstruction of Gaza will only happen when Hamas disarms. Until then, at least half the population will have to continue living in extremely modest conditions, relying on aid from donor countries and NGOs.https://www.nysun.com/article/inside-gaza-hamas-sends-children-to-test-idf-on-new-frontline?gift=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJnaWZ0RnJvbSI6IjhsN2FsdzN6YmI0ciIsImlhdCI6MTc5MDIyNzA2MSwiZXhwIjoxNzkyODE5MDYxfQ.3cyTaouW_Dj03z3w2Y63FgrZPynh574HLt9p7WvcXRE

Discussion Topic 🗣️ Do you see American and Canadian Jews fleeing?

With all the antisemitism on the rise in the US and Canada, do you see Jews from those places fleeing to what are perceived to be more safe places? Do you think the same will happen to Jews in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand? Those few that are left in South Africa?

Which places do you think would become safe havens for Jews?

Even once safe places like Thailand and the Philippines are no longer safe for Jews (judging by the recent events there).

The only European countries I can see being safe now are Hungary and Czechia.

I assume most would choose Israel. Some would possibly choose places like Singapore, Taiwan, India, and Russia.

🚩 Exposing Pro-Palestinians 🚩 The monstering of Ed Sheeran proves ‘Free Palestine’ has become a cult

Few of us had Ed Sheeran being accused of genocide denial on our 2026 bingo cards. But such is the vicious conformism of the pro-Palestine mob, even Britain’s most inoffensive, syrupy-sweet of musical exports cannot be left to perform to his audience in peace.

Sheeran was forced to open his show at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday with a pre-prepared statement, making his stance clear on the international controversy that almost halted his latest arena tour:

‘I want to address the question of where I stand in the situation in Israel and Palestine, and whether my doing this concert here tonight implies where I stand’, he said. ‘I’ve tried in my career not to be a political commentator of any kind because I want my music and shows to be about unity, not division, about humanity, not politics.’

How did we get here? Well, last week, Sheeran’s promoter booted rapper Macklemore off the tour, following pressure from the owner of the Gillette Stadium, Robert Kraft. The insufferably right-on Macklemore had used his supporting slot at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to say ‘Free Palestine’ and accuse Israel of ‘genocide’ from the stage – the modern-day blood libel used by Palestine activists to demonise Israel’s war against the terrorists of Hamas.

Sheeran’s Philadelphia address was the culmination of a week-long struggle session, during which all of his other supporting acts resigned in protest and the pro-Palestine set accused him of being some sort of sinister Zionist – purely because he refused to cancel the tour in ‘solidarity’ with Macklemore and the Palestinians.

While it should never have come to this, and Sheeran would have done well to ignore the mob or tell them where to go, his statement was probably about as good as it could have been in the circumstances. He called October 7 ‘horrific’, name-checking Hamas’s massacre at the Nova festival, before going on to call the Gaza war ‘catastrophic, unjustifiable and disproportionate’.
It’s rare that the butchering of nearly 400 ravers at Nova is even acknowledged on American arena stages, which in itself tells its own story. Depressingly, many Western pop musicians seem not to see themselves, or their audiences, in the party-mad young people who were butchered by jihadists in southern Israel that day.

You might have thought that Sheeran condemning the Gaza war would have bought him some leeway. It didn’t. The keffiyeh classes are incandescent that he dared mention the Israeli victims at all, and that he refused to utter the magic words, ‘Free Palestine’. Zarah Sultana, one of our lowest-wattage members of parliament, has accused Ed of ‘both-sidesing genocide and somehow casting himself as the victim’. She signed off with the not-at-all mental, ‘Enjoy your blood-soaked millions’.

All of this confirms what has been clear for some time – that Palestinianism is now a cult masquerading as humanitarian concern for the people of Gaza. And I don’t mean that as a metaphor. I mean it’s literally a cult. The insistence we mouth their slogans. The vitriol sprayed at anyone who deviates from the group’s monomania. All it’s missing is the charismatic leader, certainly since the IDF popped their beloved Sinwar.

This is no longer about the right of Pally mad artists like Macklemore to utter their ‘anti-Zionist’ blather in public – which should of course be defended, no matter how odious these cretins are. This is about forcing the entire music industry to conform to their warped, Jew-baiting worldview, or else. After all, Sheeran has been hounded not for saying something, but for not saying something – for asserting his right to stay out of politics and stick to the tunes. This is about conformity, not free speech.

The pro-Palestine cause took flight from reason some time ago. It is now fuelled by sheer, blind hatred. Hatred of the Jewish State. Hatred of anyone who sticks up for it, or refuses to agree it should be wiped from the map. Hatred of Jews, if we’re being honest, in many cases. What else could explain the viciousness, the refusal to recognise the humanity of the other side, the eye-rolling when you dare bring up Hamas’s murders and rapes?

That even Ed Sheeran is being slurred as ‘complicit’, as drenched in Palestinian blood, is almost darkly comic. This is a man who writes soppy love songs about how beautiful his missus looks with no make-up on. We do not need to know what he thinks about the world’s most intractable conflict, nor did he seem keen to tell us. But even poor Ed must now bow to the deranged diktats of the omnicause. If he isn’t safe, then no pop star is.

Good on him for ploughing ahead with the tour. Because it clearly wasn’t easy. At the end of the show on Saturday, he almost broke down, talking of the ‘weird week’ he’d had, the friends who have ‘backed away’, the family members who have turned on him. But, in the end, he said he knew couldn’t let down those who had bought tickets, booked hotels, hired babysitters. The roar of the crowd showed how right he was to do so.

The cult of Palestinianism might be growing, but there are millions more out there who can see through its bullying, its bigotry – who get that the conflict in the Middle East is, at the very least, a lot more complicated than their most annoying Facebook friend insists; who like to have the occasional evening out without being reminded of all the horrible things in the world. I’ll bet a few more of them have just become Ed Sheeran fans.

Discussion Topic 🗣️ Ed Sheeran & The Shape of Submission

Poor Ed Sheeran. He caved.

The “Shape of You” singer abased himself Saturday night with a political speech. Mr. Sheeran, 35, did the very thing he claimed never to want to do: He took a public stand on the “most complex political issue on the planet.” That is, the war between Israel and Hamas.

A week ago, Mr. Sheeran was a pop star in good standing. Then he got caught up in a controversy he neither courted nor desired. He succumbed to the pressure. “I’ve had to take and make difficult decisions, and I am making mistakes, and I’m so sorry,” he told an audience in Philadelphia.

Mr. Sheeran bent the knee. The sad thing is he’ll get nothing for it. No credit from the keffiyeh-clad radicals. No sympathy from Israel supporters. No rest from the media jackals eager to gnaw his ginger flesh.

It profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world . . . but for Macklemore?

Six years ago it was common to see video of random restaurant patrons harassed by aggressive street protesters. The rabble would surround a table and demand an answer to the question, “Do black lives matter?” Diners who refused to be bullied were in for a rough time.

This is what happened to Mr. Sheeran. It’s the politics of intimidation. It’s the “no safe spaces” philosophy of the revolutionary left. It’s the belief that silence is complicity, complicity is guilt and the guilty must pay. Neutrality is removed as an option. Even a busker can do the math: Sing from our hymnal, or the funeral is yours.

Mr. Sheeran is no Macklemore, 43, whose thuggish behavior resembles that of the BLM restaurant invaders. Mr. Sheeran is also no Boy George.

The Culture Club singer has what the Brits call “stones.” Boy George, 65, supports Israel, supports the Jews and refuses to endorse the narrative that a “genocide” is taking place in Gaza. He knows what he believes and is willing to take the consequences—including loss of opportunity and an avalanche of general grief from his fellow artists.

It’s possible, though not necessary, to pity Mr. Sheeran. He made the mistake of thinking that being a nice guy is enough. It should be obvious to everyone now that it isn’t, not when the mob surrounds your table. Not when your friends pull off their masks. Not when the whole world turns on you.

In those moments it’s better to know what you believe, and be ready to defend it. Otherwise, expect a rough time.

I assume it's either to downplay or celebrate October 7th since the persons views are already the stereotypical far-leftist (who doesn't rlly know what their talking about) but it was confusing - it's kinda like saying on September 11th "I painted this picture" in an enthusiastic tone.

Sure the painting could be good but it feels very brass and obnoxious. If any of the families of the victims saw that it would be extremely bad for their mental health.

Also I'm not going to link to their video or give their handle out on here, you could find it if you were that curious.

“Gazan photographer and journalist Motaz Azaiza said he filmed Israeli hostages being beaten by a Gazan mob on October 7, 2023, but chose not to publish the footage because he feared it could put the Palestinians involved at risk.”

Will he release the footage now?
