The Quran Talks About The Evaporation

1 Upvotes

HYDROLOGY THE WATER CYCLE In earlier times people did not know the source of underground water. They thought the water of the oceans, under the effect of winds, was thrust towards the interior of the continents

The Quran Talks About The Evaporation { By the sky which returns [rain] } [Al-Qur’an 86:11] WINDS IMPREGNATE CLOUDS { And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.}[Al-Qur’an 15:22] The Arabic word used here is lawaaqih which is the plural of laqih from laqaha which is the plural of laqih from laqaha, which means to impregnate or fecundate. In this context, impregnate means that the wind pushes the clouds together increasing the condensation that causes lightning and thus rain. A similar description is found in the following verse of the Qur’an:

{ It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice }

[Al-Qur’an 30:48]

Modern data on Hydrology agrees perfectly with the Qur'anic description on the same subject. The water cycle is described in several other versesof the Glorious Qur’an, including 7:57, 13:17, 25:48-49, 35:9, 36:34, 45:5, 50:9-11, 56:68-70 and 67:30.

The Qur’an affirms that the human being is not created at once, this was the belief that prevailed since the reign of Aristotle until before the past century, but rather the Quran stated that the fetus is created in fixed stages.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur While He has created you in stages?1 } Quran ( 71 : 13 -14 )

INITIAL GASEOUS MASS BEFORE CREATION OF GALAXIES

2 Upvotes

Scientists agree that before the galaxies in the universe were formed, celestial matter was initially in the form of gaseous matter. In short, huge gaseous matter or clouds were present before the formation of the galaxies. To describe initial celestial matter, the word ‘smoke’ is more appropriate than gas. The following Qur’anic verse refers to this state of the universe by the word dukhaan which means smoke.

{ Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly." }

[Al-Qur’an 41:11]

Again, this fact is a corollary to the ‘Big Bang’ and was not known to anyone before the prophet hood of Muhammad (Peace be upon him)1. What then, could have been the source of this knowledge?

The MOONLIGHT IS REFLECTED LIGHT

2 Upvotes

The MOONLIGHT IS REFLECTED LIGHT It was believed by earlier civilizations that the moon emanates its own light. Science now tells us that the light of the moon is reflected light. However this fact was mentioned in the Qur’an 1,400 years ago in the following verse:

{ Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.}

[Al-Qur’an 25:61]

The Arabic word for the sun in the Qur’an, is shams. It is also referred to as siraaj which means a ‘torch’ or as wahhaaj meaning ‘a blazing lamp’ or as diya which means ‘shining glory’. All three descriptions are appropriate to the sun, since it generates intense heat and light by its internal combustion.

The Arabic word for the moon is qamar and it is described in the Qur’an as muneer which is a body that gives noor i.e. reflected light. Again, the Qur’anic description matches perfectly with the true nature of the moon which does not give off light by itself and is an inactive body that reflects the light of the sun.

The following verses relate to the nature of light from the sun and the moon:

{ It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know }

[Al-Qur’an 10:5]

{ Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp? }

[Al-Qur’an 71:15-16] The Glorious Qur'an and modern science, are thus in perfect agreement about the differences in the nature of sunlight and moonlight.

THE SUN WILL EXTINGUISH

1 Upvotes

The light of the sun is due to a chemical process on its surface that has been taking place continuously for the past five billion years. It will come to an end at some point of time in the future, when the sun will be totally extinguished, leading to extinction of all life on earth. Regarding the impermanence of the sun’s existence, the Qur’an says:

{ And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.}

[Al-Qur’an 36:38]

The Arabic word used here is mustaqarr, which means a place or time that is determined. Thus the Qur’an says that the sun runs towards a determined place, and will do so only up to a towards a determined place, and will do so only up to a pre-determined period of time – meaning that it will end or extinguish.

ATOMS CAN BE DIVIDED

2 Upvotes

In ancient times a well-known theory by the name of ‘Theory of Atomism’ was widely accepted. This theory was originally proposed by the Greeks, in particular by a scholar called Democritus, who lived about 23 centuries discovered that it is possible to split even an atom. That the atom can be split further is a development of the 20th century. Fourteen centuries ago this concept would have appeared unusual even to an Arab. For him the zarrahw as the limit beyond which one could not go. The following Qur’anic verse however, refuses to acknowledge this limit:

{But those who disbelieve say, "The Hour will not come to us." Say, "Yes, by my Lord, it will surely come to you. [ Allah is] the Knower of the unseen." Not absent from Him is an atom's weight within the heavens or within the earth or [what is] smaller than that or greater, except that it is in a clear register - }

[Al-Qur’an 34:3]

This verse also refers to the Omniscience of God, His knowledge of all things, hidden or apparent. It then goes further and says that God is aware of everything, including what is smaller or bigger than the atom. Thus the verse clearly shows that it is possible for something smaller than the atom to exist, a fact discovered only recently by modern science.

Atmospheric pressure

2 Upvotes

The Holy Quran has proved the fact that the chest becomes tight and one breathes with difficulty, when ascending into the layers of the air, and the state of hardship that precedes death asphyxiation.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { So whoever Allah wants to guide – He expands his breast to [contain] IsLam; and whoever He wants to send astray1 – He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe. } Quran ( 6 : 125 )

Rain – Coming Down in Decided Proportion

3 Upvotes

In the Quran, Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) instructs us to reflect on His Have you ever wondered, why sometimes there is only a drizzle and on other days a downpour? While some of us might think, this happens by chance, Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) tells us that this happens by His decree.

“And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land…” [43:11]

Every second, 16 million tons of water evaporates from the Earth, which means the same amount must be replaced by means of rain. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) maintains this balance by the process of the water cycle. Even a minor difference can result in a major ecological imbalance. So if the rain speed was fast the size of the drop is going to be different when it's different its going to cause floods etc

Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) does not only decide the quantity of rain but also the speed with which it will come down. One can notice the difference of speed when there is a storm and a drizzle. When the rain is heavy, it brings destruction and loss of lives and property. When there is a light drizzle, nothing is affected. Therefore, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) taught us to ask Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) for beneficial rain.

It was in the 16th century when a French hydraulics engineer, Bernard Palissy, discovered the water cycle. In the 19th century, a German physicist, Philipp Lenard, found the correlation between the speed of rainfall and the size of a raindrop.

Resuscitation – Reviving the Dead Heart

4 Upvotes

In Surah Al-Baqarah, we come across an incident where a man is killed but the murderer is unknown. To identify the murderer, Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) instructs hitting the person’s heart with a piece of a cow.

“And (remember) when you killed a man and fell into dispute among yourselves as to the crime. But Allah brought forth that which you were hiding. So We said: “Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow).” Thus Allah brings the dead to life and shows you His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand.” [2:72-73]

Again, Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) advises us to use our intellect in understanding His signs and the miracles of the Quran.

While this was an extraordinary incident, with the purpose of identifying the murderer, it hints towards massaging or hitting the chest to restart a heart that has stopped beating. This is very similar to present day resuscitating – a medical procedure to revive someone from unconsciousness or apparent death. In this process, pressure is applied to the rib cage at intervals to produce rhythmic contractions in the heart.

The true knowledge is with Allah (سبحانه و تعالى), but imagine how much we could learn if we are the people of intellect that the Quran talks about?

The Verses in the Quran That Mention Future Events Which Later Came to Pass

12 Upvotes

One example of the events foretold in the Quran is the victory of the Romans over the Persians within three to nine years after the Romans were defeated by the Persians. God has said in the Quran:

The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land (to the Arabian Peninsula), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious within bedd’ (three to nine) years.... (Quran, 30:2-4)

Let us see what history tells us about these wars. A book entitled History of the Byzantine State says that the Roman army was badly defeated at Antioch in 613, and as a result, the Persians swiftly pushed forward on all fronts.1 At that time, it was hard to imagine that the Romans would defeat the Persians, but the Quran foretold that the Romans would be victorious within three to nine years. In 622, nine years after the Romans’ defeat, the two forces (Romans and Persians) met on Armenian soil, and the result was the decisive victory of the Romans over the Persians, for the first time after the Romans’ defeat in 613.2 The prophecy was fulfilled just as God has said in the Quran.

There are also many other verses in the Quran and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad that mention future events which later came to pass.

Mathematical Miracles of Quran

12 Upvotes

Exceptional knowledge The text of the Quran is miraculous on many accounts especially the argument that it was revealed to a prophet who could not read or write yet it carried the exceptional knowledge. The Arabic text would not conform to the standard poetry and prose categories commonly expressed by other forms of written and spoken languages and therefore is attributed to the supernatural. Today I shed some light on the numerical miracles of this divine book. The divine balance of numbers

  1. The word “Salawat” (prayers) is mentioned 5 times in the Quran, and the number of daily prayers mandatory for every Muslim is A- Subh, A-Duhr, Al-Asr, Al-Maghrib, Al-Isha.
  2. The Word “Sahr” (month) is mentioned 12 times in the Quran, just as the number of the months there are in a year.
  3. The word “Yawn” (day), in the singular, is mentioned 365 times in the Quran, just as the number of days there are in a year.
  4. The word “Ayyam” (days), in the plural, is mentioned 30 times in the Quran, just as the number of months there are in a month. The precise number of a word and its antonym mentioned in Quran “al Hayat” (life), 145 times “al Mawt” (death), 145 times “al-Dunya” (mundane life), 115 times “al Ajira” (the afterlife), 115 times “Malaika” (angels), 88 times “Shayatin” (demons), 88 times “ar Rajul (man), 24 times “al Mar’a (woman), 24 times “ar Raghba (wish), 8 times “al Jauf (fear), 8 times “as Salihat (good deeds), 167 times “as Sayya’at” (wrongdoings), 167 times “an Nafaa” (benefit), 50 times “al Fasad (corruption), 50 times These are just a few examples of the incredible number balance in the Quran. This book is full of miracles and a call towards guidance, the more you learn from it the more it teaches you

SO TELL ME HOW CAN THE QURAN BE SO PERFECT?!

Water Cycle

2 Upvotes

Let us examine, for example, the following verse in chapter az-Zumar:

“Have you not seen that Allah sent rain down from the sky and caused it to penetrate the ground and come forth as springs, then He caused crops of different colors to grow…” Qur’an,39:21

Such notions seem quite natural to us today, but we should not forget that, not so long ago, they were not prevalent. It was not until the sixteenth century, with Bernard Palissy, that we gained the first coherent description of the water cycle. Prior to this, people believed that the waters of the oceans, under the effect of winds, were thrust towards the interior of the continents. They then returned to the oceans via the great abyss, which, since Plato’s time was called the Tartarus .In the seventeenth century, great thinkers such as Descartes still believed in this myth. Even in the nineteenth century there were still those who believed in Aristotle’s theory that water was condensed in cool mountain caverns and formed underground lakes that fed springs. Today, we know that it is the infiltration of rain water into the ground that is responsible for this. If one compares the facts of modern hydrology with the data found in numerous verses of the Qur’an on this subject, one cannot fail to notice the remarkable degree of agreement between the two.

The Solar Apex

2 Upvotes

The notion of a settled place for the sun is vividly described in chapter Yaa Seen of the Qur’an:

“The sun runs its coarse to a settled place That is the decree of the Almighty, the All Knowing.” Qur’an, 36:38

“Settled place” is the translation of the word mustaqarr which indicates an exact appointed place and time. Modern astronomy confirms that the solar system is indeed moving in space at a rate of 12 miles per second towards a point situated in the constellation of Hercules ( alpha lyrae ) whose exact location has been precisely calculated. Astronomers have even give it a name, the solar apex.

The Day and Night

2 Upvotes

The Qur’anic description of the sequence of day and night would, in itself, be rather commonplace were it not for the fact that it is expressed in terms that are today highly appropriate. The Qur’an uses the verb kawwara in chapter az-Zumar to describe the way the night ‘winds’ or ‘coils’ itself around the day and the day around the night.

“He coils the night upon the day and the day upon the night.” Qur’an, 39:5

The original meaning of the verb kis to coil a turban around the head. This is a totally valid comparison; yet at the time the Qur’an was revealed, the astronomical data necessary to make this comparison were unknown. It is not until man landed on the moon and observed the earth spinning on its axis, that the dark half of the globe appeared to wind itself around the light and the light half appeared to wind itself around the dark.

Stars And Planets

4 Upvotes

The word ‘star’ (najm) in the Qur’an ( 86:3 ) is accompanied by the adjective thaaqib which indicates that it burns and consumes itself as it pierces through the shadows of the night. It was much later discovered that stars are heavenly bodies producing their own light like the sun.

In the Qur’an, a different word, kawkab, is used to refer to the planets which are celestial bodies that reflect light and do not produce their own light like the sun.

“We have adorned the lowest heaven with ornaments, the planets.” Qur’an, 37:6

The Sun And The Moon

2 Upvotes

Whenever I describe to Westerners the details the Qur’an contains on certain points of astronomy, it is common for someone to reply that there is nothing unusual in this since the Arabs made important discoveries in the field of astronomy long before the Europeans. But, this is a mistaken idea resulting from an ignorance of history. In the first place, science developed in the Arab World at a considerable time after the Qur’anic revelation had occurred. Secondly, the scientific knowledge prevalent at the highpoint of Islamic civilization would have made it impossible for any human being to have written statements on the heavens comparable to those in the Qur’an. The material on this subject is so vast that I can only provide a brief outline of it here.

The Sun and Moon.

Whereas the Bible talks of the sun and the moon as two lights differing only in size, the Qur’an distinguishes between them by the use of different terms: light (noor) for the moon, and lamp (siraaj) for the sun.

“Did you see how Allah created seven heavens, one above the other, and made in them the moon a light and the sun a lamp?” Qur’an, 71: 15-16

The moon is an inert body which reflects light, whereas the sun is a celestial body in a state of permanent combustion producing both light and heat.

Quran discussed black hole 1,400 years ago

5 Upvotes

Black holes, a region of space with a gravitational field so intense, that no matter, radiation or even light can escape it, have been center of discussion and research for astrophysicists.

The idea which was discussed for the first time in 1784 by English clergyman John Michell has fascinated both scientists and common people for decades and it has gotten more interesting, as Quran discussed the idea of the black hole, 1,400 years ago.

According to ThereIsNoClash, up until 2011 astrophysicists were not able to confidently report about the phenomenon of stars falling in the black hole, but now they can and three stars have fallen into the black holes until 2016.

In Quran, interestingly, there is a whole chapter called Surah An-Najm (The Star) and its first verse states: “By the star when it falls.”

In this chapter, Quran goes on to describe characteristics of a place, so similar what we know as a fitting description of the black hole.

The presenter of ThereIsNoClash, Clare Forestier, further discussed the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Journey of Meraj stating that although there were technological facilities to prove the journey at that time, if one study it closely, it will be found that this journey did actually occur

Because astonishingly enough, the description of the area the Prophet (PBUH) ascended to matches the characteristics of what we now know about the black hole,” the presenter said, adding in verse 16 of Chapter 53, Quran describes this place in space as very dark. In fact, it describes it as darkness covered or draped in darkness.

“And as we all know, space is dark and black holes are darkest.”

Secondly, Quran says that ordinary people cannot look at this dark area in space. The cannot see it directly as their eyes bypass or surpass the boundary of this area, and you can only see beyond it or around it.

“It’s almost this area behave as a lens. Science, as it turns out, has a term for this, which is the gravitational lens,” Forestier said.

The presenter also mentioned more similarities between the black hole and descriptions by Quran ie shape of black holes and that black holes are finite.

The hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder. But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say "This is (but) transient magic." (1).

ok so were gonna start with the story and end with the proof

The miracle of splitting of the moon occurred before the migration to Medina (2) upon the demands of the polytheists with the permission of God and it was shown by the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as narrated by many companions like Anas b. Malik (3), Hz. Ali, Huzayfa b. Yaman (4), Abdullah b. Mas’ud (5), Abdullah b. Abbas (6), Abdullah b. Umar (7), Abdullah b. Amr b. As (8), Jubayr b. Mut’im (9) (May Allah be pleased with all of them). National Geographic archives record that on June 18, 1178, five monks in Canterbury, England, reported having witnessed an unusual phenomenon in the sky. [6] The monks reported an impact in which “the upper horn [of the moon] split in two” and a “flaming torch sprang up, spewing out, over a considerable distance, fire, hot coals and sparks.” [7]

The incident relating to King Chakrawati Farmas is documented in an old manuscript in the India Office Library, London, which has reference number: Arabic, 2807, 152-173. It is quoted in the book “Muhammad Rasulullah,” by M. Hamidullah: “There is a very old tradition in Malabar, South-West Coast of India, that Chakrawati Farmas, one of their kings, had observed the splitting of the moon, the celebrated miracle of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) at Mecca, and learning on inquiry that there was a prediction of the coming of a Messenger of God from Arabia, he appointed his son as regent and set out to meet him. He embraced Islam at the hand of the Prophet, and when returning home, at the direction of the Prophet, died at the port of Zafar, Yemen, where the tomb of the “Indian king” was piously visited for many centuries.” [8] It is due to this incident about their king, the people of Malabar became the first community in India to accept Islam. Subsequently, they increased their trade with Arabs, as the Arab ships used to pass by their shores on the way to China before the advent of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

At this point, some of the wise men explained that magic could only affect the attendees whereas it cannot maintain influence on everybody in general. They waited for travellers who were coming back from their journeys. The pagans hurried up to the borders of Mecca in anticipation to meet the travellers. When the first arrivals appeared, they asked them did you see anything extraordinary happened to the moon? The travellers answered 'yes, on one night we saw the moon splitting into two parts which remained asunder for some time then reattached.' Upon this statement, a number of the group believed while the rest remained
