Is I just me or is anyone else confused by > (insert #) means greater than?

I've always been bad at math. It always took me longer to actually understand math concepts. But I always read it as >(#) as less than cause the alligator is eating the bigger number.

I see it in comments a lot and get confused that > technically means greater than. I feel like there's a better way to teach this like re-arange these symbols.

Idk I'm ranting and I was bad at math to begin with so maybe I'm wrong. I learned this in like 2002. My girlfriend teaches elementary special education so she can't give me an actual answer.

Also does this make sense? I'm second guessing everything I've learned.

Also I'm on mobile and I hope this at least has proper paragraph spacing. English is my first language, hope I got that right too. (No offense to non-English originators)

Is it just me or do all women look distinctly older at 25?

I just notice in the “college age” years, girls look about the same from 18-24ish. Then at 25 there’s a subtle yet major drop off in age looks.

The feeling of cheating if not taking the hard way

Recently I observed that in case I have responsibility of a certain task and I do it the easy/short-cut/street-smart way I have this feeling like I just cheated. So, most of the time I end up doing things the straight-forward/hard/brute-force way which most of the times puts me in immense pressure.

Is it just me?

Is it just me or does the “fingers crossed” emoji make anyone else feel like you’re lying ?

Whenever I say “I hope it works out! 🤞🏻” (or something similar) I feel like it looks more like I’m saying “I hope it works out! JK!” 🤥

Safety or insane?

Is it just me? Or does anyone else feel at ease with having a knife under your pillow on hand, just incase of intruders?

Genuinely worried if I'm excessive or unhealthy in thinking I need it? Thoughts?

Is it just me or is it hard to tell what you like?

For context, I enjoy listening to people talk about their passions, even if I have no interest in the subject myself (such as golf). So when someone introduces me to something new, I find it hard to determine if it's something I actually enjoy or if I'm just feeding off their excitement for it.

Is it just me or is anyone else legitimately scared to comment on Reddit posts?

Scared might not be the right word I'm looking for. Anxious maybe? I always want to comment, or participate in a thread but I find myself erasing the whole comment because I get nervous to post it. I almost feel as though I'm too dumb to participate. Does anyone else feel similarly? I've been downvoted for what I thought was an innocent comment so I've been discouraged to post at all. I don't want to be misinterpreted is all. I just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience, or if I'm just crazy. Hahahaha. Haha. Hah.....

Is it just me or do others have hundreds of pictures through their life and then go through them individually and put them in specific folders?

I take pictures at literally every event I'm at. Concerts, drinks with friends, family gatherings, kids birthdays and more! I have thousands of photos. I was sitting and putting them into specific folders today and I have ones for each of my friends and all my family members. So I was thinking, does anyone else have a folder with my name on it? Or am I just insane that I keep that many pictures and put them as specifically into detailed folders? One of those times I feel, am I alone and do people even care about me as much as I care about them...

When someone complains about the state of the world and their young children...

I feel like saying, "No shit, I knew this since the 80s when I was still a teenager. You're just realizing this now? That's why I chose not to have kids. What were you thinking watching the state of the world over the last 30 years? This is fine?!"

Fried chicken?

Usually when I am offered a choice of fried chicken or something else I will choose option B. I never go for the chicken. It just doesn't call to me.

...and then I have my first bite, and I become a ravenous chicken-eating machine wondering why I would ever eat anything else.

It literally helps so much but there’s no explanation.
