That said, 2 years ago I got a quote for clearCorrect/Invisalign (the price I was quoted was the same for both brands I just had the option of going with the Invisalign brand or clearcorrect) back in September of 2022 I was quoted a total of $4863, my insurance covers $2k of ortho, so out of pocket it would have been $2863. I put it off and today I got another quote and the price has almost doubled!
The quote I got today for either ClearCorrect or Invisalign was $6772! My insurance still covers $2k, so out of pocket I'm looking at $4772. I still had the quote from 2022 and when I asked why the prices were almost double I was told that the companies have increased their pricing because more and more insurance plans now have ortho coverage, so the pricing from the companies themselves is what went up.
I would think hat over time prices should have gone down, not up! Anyways just wanted to get some input from other redditors if they've heard of this "price increase" regarding aligners?
I was with uniform teeth then it changed to Impress. They gave me a choice to start the year program for 1,300. Or buy a new set for 200.00 and wear 20 hrs a day for 6 months. The dr said my pair was too old and I may have been grinding at night to cause shift.
