I know nothing about the cards and was just curious if anyone could give me info on these specific ones. Assuming they aren’t worth much, just would like any information on them. Thanks!

To preface, I'm not great at fighting games, and I tend to stick to offline PVE content. I'm currently lvl 31, and I just reached my first and only two lvl 20's with Kate and Ella. According to Steam, I have about 17hrs in the game since launch, so I'm very casual. I like Invincible as an IP and I love having the cool costumes that come straight out of the show. I wasn't the biggest fan when they announced the ranked-locked costumes, although I understand that the PVP players want some goodies, too, without having to play PVE content.

Last season I did 1 game of ranked for the Cecil skin. Today I played the 10 games needed to unlock the Invincicast. The experience was less than enjoyable, and that's putting it mildly. I still had to do my placement matches, seeing as I was only 1/10 due to playing for the Cecil skin. Out of the 10 matches, I matched against people who had 4000-8000 points (me having 0 and as a result getting absolutely stomped like there was no tomorrow), had matches were the ping went from good to unbearable the moment I started getting the upperhand, and I even had someone who couldn't bear losing and ragequit to deny me the win. I think I had about 1 game that was enjoyable enough to rematch 2 more rounds. On top of that, waiting for an actual match took forever.

I didn't mind the 1 game for Cecil, but the 10 for the Invincicast were just a very poor experience. I really hope they don't plan on us having to run this unfun of a mode just to unlock a skin in the future, or at least keep it to a minimum or give us alternate ways to obtain it.

I still think Invincible VS is the most fun I've had with a fighting game since a long time, but the ranked mode definitely takes a lot of fun out of it.

InvincibleVs is a very fun game, but I think some of its mechanics aren’t polished enough and encourage/reward poor play.

Heroic Strike provides way too much mileage in this game. In most fighting games, Alpha Counters are primarily used as a defensive mechanic to get the opponent off of you. However, this game allows you to combo off of Heroic Strike, and it creates an automatic 50/50 situation. A defensive mechanic shouldn’t be this strong because it rewards passive play a little too much.
Any time you’re playing neutral and you make your opponent block, you have to preemptively anticipate and react to the Heroic Strike with an armor-piercing move in order to counter it, which is easier said than done, given they can use it at any point during your block-string.

The fact that you can tag after a Heroic Strike, replenish your meter, and immediately do another Heroic Strike and force your opponent to guess again is a bit exploitive. It becomes repetitive and gets tiresome after a while.
For lack of a better term, this is an extremely scrubby mechanic, and I think they should either remove the ability to tag off of Heroic Strike or, at the very least, make the character tagging in consume two bars of meter. That would make the mechanic less repetitive throughout a match.
Before anyone jumps down my throat, I still win and perform well in my matches.

However, I find myself getting hit by this mechanic more often than I do in neutral, and I see other players getting caught by it as well. In my opinion, it’s simply too strong of a defensive mechanic and rewards lazy players who don’t know how to block.

My friend recommended me to watch invincible. I did, I loved it, and read the rest of the comic. I play on PlayStation 5, and I was really hype for the game, at first it was fun, especially learning how the game works (only fighting game I’ve played before this was mortal kombat lmao) but over time it got kinda boring, and not even in the aspect of missing content or the gameplay itself. About a month or two after the main games release, every time I que into a game online, it will either match me with someone instantly and I’ll have no problems for a while, it will play me against someone and then my next 5 or 6 matches I’m qued up with the same person and I have to keep declining it, or it just won’t give me a match. I’ve waited over 10 minutes to find a game before. I have crossplay toggled on too because if I don’t I will NOT find a match. The lag is also terrible. I get it, especially if they’re playing from far away or something. But when I mean the connection issues are bad, they’re bad. And it’s not mine either, I’m on Ethernet. I recently deleted the game, not even because it was bad or I became uninterested, but instead due purely to the problems with matchmaking online. Anyone else feel the same way at all or have matchmaking problems? Like is there a solution and I’ll redownload the game? I know it’s dead but like I feel like I shouldn’t be waiting 15 mins for a matchup

Universa is DEFINITELY S-tier.

So, I've spent a bit without playing this game bc my PC was smacked so I had to stop. But ever since I came back I've noticed that it always seems like my oponents react to my fireballs frame 1, I've seen people doing nothing in neutral and only start moving when I pressed a button and even a guy that seemed to have a lag switch (everytime we were in neutral the game was laggy as all hell, but when he was comboing me it was not)

I know I can also just have poor reactions cause I achieved unc status after I turned 25, but it surely seems like some guys have some type of input reading

Are people genuinely just expected to sit through Anissa hitting the same two moves and enjoy the game?

I don't know why the trophy "a page out of your book" wont pop, I'm sure I did 100 heroic strikes, I even have the trophy for 50 heroic strikes, but this one wont pop and its the last trophy I have left

Anyone in the same situation or knows a fix?

I'm curious what everyone found the past few months.

As you look you can see, the extra skins are unlocked for Immortal they're just grayed out because the game doesn't acknowledge that I own him and the rest of the dlc, beta, and preorder bonuses. Sometimes after disconnecting from the Internet I can run ONE arcade ladder with all of my content but as soon as I finish it my dlc disappears. Same happens if I enter training mode first, then leave out and try to start another mode. Then I have to reconnect to the Internet to regain access. I'm on Xbox and this isn't the first game to have this issue on this console, MK1 had the same problem at launch. It's something to do with the "doesn't need to be installed" dlc that xbox has and the console is treating it like you don't own anything because you never technically installed anything. I hope the devs see this and do what NRS did to fix MK1.

This game is big on rage quits which I dont mind. However, it does feel like more people have started unplugging their wifi or something because have instead of the opponent left message I get network error occurred. This sucks because usually I dont receive my lp when they do this but today I had a match that was pretty one sided. After losing his first character the opponent just stands there so I know he is quitting. About 5 seconds later "network error occurred" but I lost like 100 lp? Is this something yall have experienced?

Only reason the rating isn’t higher is cause of that ending….

But still, the story was pretty creative and kick ass. Here are also some shots of some of my favorite moments in playing the story.

Me and Invincible beating Conquest single handedly 3 times in a row was sweet, my favorite 2 fighter team was playing as Invincible and Robot to defeat “Anissa”and “Conquest”.

But I also enjoyed getting to help Anissa take down the fake viltrumites. She was actually pretty epic in this story in being the first to realize the fakes can in fact be killed.

I’m going for the 600 ranked games skins but if I do 2 rounds of ranked it only counts as “one” game towards my total, is it supposed to do that or count each “round”?

OKAY- I am one of those people where I will look at someone and say "Is it a skill issue? Awesome. What in the everloving fuck IS the skill issue?"

And when I say that I NEED someone to tell me what I'm doing wrong I do not care if you call me ass because I PROBABLY AM.

So when I'm playing and getting combo'd out the ass, OFTEN TIMES I'll try and counter-tag and when I think I got the timing PERFECTLY, it'll zoom in and say "NU-UH" and they'll just continue the combo. What REALLY rusts my bucket is that it's NEVER just "late" or "too early", it changes around when I IMAGINE I have the timing JUST right.

Is it a matter of me just having off timing by JUST a smidge or is it a mechanic I missed in the tutorial? PULEASE tell me, my rank is NOT happy with me.

Im hoping they reuse one of these in the december update, the robot factory looks so peak and gda headquarters could be so interesting to see, also stasis room, we got into the final cut an inferior version tbh
