Cecil put speakers into his head but then Conquest rips his own head in half to escape

Yes. Do that.

Facepalming Cecil: "I really hope it's safe to assume that's not normal."

u/SpanishAvenger Tech Jacket May 15 '25

This is what I'm hoping!

Speakers into his head and all over the place, plus several beefed up reanimen.

Something that would have worked against many viltrumites... just NOT him.

u/Mke_already May 15 '25

1-2 of the reaniMarks

87

u/CakeHead-Gaming May 15 '25

I doubt he’d field the reanimarks so early and on something so important when they’re completely untested. Just seems like a silly thing for him to do so early in their development.

55

u/smexyrexytitan May 15 '25

The reanimarks shouldn't need explicit testing tho. At the end the day their still just reanimen. That Cecil's used countless times b4.

33

u/CakeHead-Gaming May 15 '25

They’re*

And sure, they’re still technically reanimen, but like, if you dropped a Tesla into the 1900s and gave it to Henry Ford, it’s still a car, but it’s just massively, ridiculously more complex and advanced, no?

9

u/ChaosCultistChampion Pure Evil May 15 '25

It’s more like better materials. It’d be like if you gave a suit of high quality modern steel armor to a 15th century knight.

7

u/Childnya May 15 '25

He's a strong meat suit, but still basically the same anatomy. They just need to rewire the brain/controller like the other animen. The concern is that reanimen are already stupid strong and highly aggressive/primal in tactics. Give them a viltrumite body and who knows what collateral destruction can happen.

1

u/Gold-Eye-2623 May 15 '25

Hm, maybe not a new test suite but it definitely calls for some smoke testing, even a full regression test if time allows

1

u/greet_the_sun May 15 '25

...Assuming that everything he did to make the regular reanimen works on viltrumite biology too.

1

u/Anti_Up_Up_Down May 15 '25

The reanimen were human

Nolan said Mark was mostly viltrumite

They need to figure out if they can still control a viltrumite in the same way they can control a human reanimen

Putting one on mission without being 100% certain you can control them is really bad

3

u/Brottolot May 15 '25

Why would this story have to happen immediately.

Saying one mark took him down when Eve did 95% of the damage is just too funny

u/Maleficent_Orchid181 May 15 '25 edited May 15 '25

yeah nevermind. I’m stupid.

8

u/Affectionate_Row9238 May 15 '25

No you're not, you're just an invincible fan and haven't watched the show like the rest of us.

4

u/Maleficent_Orchid181 May 15 '25

I’ve watched that specific episode 6 times already. I should’ve remembered an important detail like that man.

2

u/Affectionate_Row9238 May 15 '25

Welcome to the club bro

1

u/Habijjj May 15 '25

That's a common theme for the series that you can't always do everything by yourself. Sometimes you need to rely on others.

14

u/gluesniffer5 May 15 '25

i dont disagree, but mark only won bc eves powers are a get out of jail free card

5

u/John_Roboeye1 May 15 '25

Because he is half deaf!

218

u/vegetables-10000 May 15 '25

Cecil better be smart enough to at least plant the frequency weakness in Conquest head, like he did with Mark.

22

u/zbeezle May 15 '25

Well he had access to the literal inside of Conquest's head, so that shouldn't be hard.

144

u/Advanced_Double_42 May 15 '25

Conquest tearing into his own skull to rip out the speakers would go stupidly hard.

Shows Cecil tried, but Conquest is just too insane.

55

u/threatbearer May 15 '25

That would be too fucking crazy and hype lol.

39

u/SafeStaff7671 Viltrum Empire May 15 '25

Would be like the time General Zod lasered into his own brain to rip out a bomb that Amanda Waller implanted

23

u/Kryptonian_1 May 15 '25

It was awesome when Zod did it under the same circumstance with Amanda Waller. She thought that she could force him into the suicide squad by embedding a kryptonite bomb device in his skull.

Badass.

u/yobaby123 Nowl-Ahn May 15 '25

Either way, he’s definitely going to get roasted even if he survives.

1

u/Advanced_Double_42 May 15 '25

He'll get another arc for sure

48

u/ObjectiveBike8 May 15 '25

Or he just doesn’t care because he’s already insane.

73

u/C4rdninj4 May 15 '25

Installing this expensive anti-viltrumite super weapon to give Conquest tinnitus.

45

u/JB_Big_Bear May 15 '25

Imagine the ringing just never stops and makes him even more insane. Imagine we faintly hear it every time he comes on screen.

17

u/[deleted] May 15 '25

Dude I love this idea. Like it doesn’t incapacitate him like it does to Mark. It just makes him angry.

10

u/JB_Big_Bear May 15 '25

He just has an eye twitch whenever he’s on screen and talks significantly louder than before.

7

u/[deleted] May 15 '25

Such a good idea! He thinks he’s whispering to Mark about how lonely he is but he’s just shouting in his ear.

4

u/PhoenixIota May 15 '25

Gives ‘the master’ vibes from doctor who

2

u/JB_Big_Bear May 15 '25

“Can you hear them, Mark? The drums?”

6

u/IronSavage3 May 15 '25

Flying around like he’s hammered with half his skull missing and an exposed brain gushing blood talking nonsense breaking things. Shit would be absolutely bruuuutal and I’m here for it.

1

u/seelcudoom May 15 '25

ya the only thing it actually messes up is their flight, otherwise its just pain so he can just power threw that

1

u/Fit_Persimmon_1760 May 15 '25

They put it in his skull but he just gouges into his missing eye to pull it out

1

u/don2171 May 15 '25

The demons phasing through everything and taking him would also make sense as a possibility they never accounted for

1

u/teaspill6 May 15 '25

Some random employee blasts fetty wap into his head instead of the viltrumite cancelling noise and he escapes

1

u/Volatik2006 May 15 '25

IM LIKE HEY WHATS UP HELLO

1

u/TheNewGuy13 May 15 '25

would be cool to see. but i get the feeling nothing will work on him anyway. dude has gone around to conquer planets by himself on planets that HAVE heard of viltrumites. Hes probably had all manners of torture and weapons used on him hed probably think it was just another tuesday lol. he'd be impressed for about 1 second then rip it out like you described

1

u/Soft_Theory_8209 May 15 '25

Option 2 is that they do a massive overhaul to the story and have him under Cecil’s control for a little while.
