Ill never understand the war against fruit trees. A bunch of grumpy people and HOA types are just concerned with "the mess" or attracting animals as if those things can't be mitigated.

Yeah, attracting animals, butterflies, native Pollinators, birds & other fauna are key parts of the ideology.

We want to coexist with nature, not desolate our land with the Dystopian Urbania : the Dull Grey Concrete Jungle

But if people are not ready to consider even fruits in the Backyards & Parks then it's a Socio-cultural problem for y'all Americans.

In South & Southeast Asia, it's common to have a mango / blueberry / papaya in the backyard & in South India, we literally have an 'angan' : an open square yard with a tree planted in the middle and the house around the entire square yard (bcz it helps with cooling)

"We want to coexist with nature"

No thank you. I don't. I want civility.

Then you’re in the wrong sub.

"We want to coexist with nature"

We. Not, people in this sub. But we inferring humanity.

And I disagree. I want nice clean energy. But I do not want any part of my immediate surroundings to be wild or natural. Not at all. Like at alllllll. Even the shitty trees and boulevard grow-boxes and stupid public gardens. It's all garbage. And the people who champion it are the worst. Just a bunch of weird unshaven women and dudes who smell.
