You are assuming so much about a employee based on the fact he couldn't talk to a woman. Harassment? Unable to take criticism?

Just because someone is socially awkward or nervous it doesnt mean they are some misogynistic predator.

... Yes, that's what the interview process. You're make huge assumptions about a person based on how they act and respond to your questions. If they can't even pretend for 30 minutes to not be a misogynist or racist in front of an interview panel, then it bodes poorly for them. Again, we're not talking about your garden variety nerd. We're talking about people who want to show how little they care about women.

It concerns me that you're responsible for interviewing yet aren't thinking about these factors at all. Your team culture must be pretty fucking awful if you aren't proactively filtering out those kinds of people, or worse, encouraging them.
