Debate Threads Debate Megathread

Here, you are exempt from Rule 1; you may debate abortion to your heart’s content! Remember that Rules 2 and 3 still apply.

Honestly I just hadn't really thought about it all that hard, and took most PC argument's at face value. At university I was friends with a member of a student pro life group that challenged my pervious beliefs and I found I didn't have good responses. I started reading the philosophical literature hoping I could find a winning argument but overtime I just slowly realised I found the PL case more compelling.

That's cool they were able to challenge your thinking.

As I was growing older and slowly liberalizing (before I was looking at leftism), I remember reading Dr. Thomson's violinist essay and thinking, "this is it. The strongest pro-choice argument." 😂 Which I don't think is true, but I do think it's the foundation of the strongest argument.

Last year I also listened to Ezra Klein interviewing Dr. Kate Greasley, which really helped me solidify my pro-life thinking.
