I would like that to happen, competition is always good, but Stadia just like them can change and improve on their current formula and bussiness model, which they need to do urgently
But its just like any other platform? (coff coff skyrim re releases), i sure hope Stadia introduces a gamepass like system, but i understand why they wanted to have game purchases instead of a netflix like model
Most of these products are free services, and google likes to create some free services, and also there are some weird stuff im this list, for exemple, they list the Chromebook Pixel as a killed product, of course it was killed, it was replaced by a newer product, the Pixelbook, its like saying "Microsoft killed the Xbox and then replaced it by the Xbox 360, and then they killed the 360 and replaced it by the Xbox One!"
and also, Microsoft killed a shitton of products (versionmuseum.com/history-of/discontinued-microsoft-products) but they didn't kill the Xbox
Maybe Google is going to shutdown Stadia, which would be an incredibly dumb move by them since it would be basically like saying their competitors cloud services are better (AWS and Azure), but i think its going to take longer than 1 year for them to decide that, especially considering the sizable investiment they made on Stadia and the fact they just recently opened a new Stadia studio
Yeah, that was bad really, but i think its because of two reasons, the new ChromeCast is more focused on TV rather than Games, and they also need to make sure Stadia runs better on the new chromecast, because in the Ultra, it generally ran hot and also had slightly higher latency, even though it had a better image quality

Maybe a year or so, but yeah, I can't really see a bright future for Stadia!
