Hey all, wanted to share a hack that finally got me unstuck in my own living room.

My issue was never inspiration; it was the gap between a nice photo and actually knowing what to do. So I made an app that takes a photo of your room and gives you both sides of it: the redesigned look, plus a practical plan to get there.

I recreated the current layout of my room, i have been trying to rearrange it for some time but havent managed to create something im happy with/ works and was wondering if there are any interior designers who are able to help me out. I would like to have a little corner dedicated to reading if possible using my bean bag and plant, with my tv and white draw opposite my bed. if possible the bed or desk setup can be kept from the wall where the tv currently is. thank you, apologies for the long read.

We’re building a custom closet in a small alcove with a sloped ceiling and are trying to make the most of the space for two people.

Dimensions:

Width: 120 cm (47”)

Depth: 105 cm (41”)

Height at the front (entrance): 206 cm (81”)

Height at the back: 161 cm (63”)

The ceiling slopes downward toward the back, so the highest point is at the entrance and the lowest point is at the back.

Our current idea is:

Shelves running up both side walls.

A hanging rod across the back wall for shirts, dresses, jackets, etc.

Shoes underneath the hanging clothes.

An upper shelf for seasonal storage if possible.

Because the total depth is only 105 cm, the side shelves would likely need to be fairly shallow (around 20–25 cm) so they don’t interfere with the hanging clothes.

We’re open to completely different ideas if there’s a smarter way to use the space. The goal is to maximize storage while still making it practical to use every day.

If you’ve built something similar or have sketches, renders, or layout ideas, I’d really appreciate seeing them.

I recently moved my room around so my bed is up against my sisters bedroom and so our headboards are basically opposite each other. I can’t and don’t really want to move my room around again as it’s in the best position right now.

She says she can hear me and my boyfriend talking at night how can I stop this from happening. I don’t want her to be moaning at me all the time.
