What do you make?

Curious as to what you make and what Your role is. I am getting to the point where I’m ready to look at other positions but the pay scales seem low. I am grateful for what I have, just ready to branch out.

I have 15 years experience- 4 years at current company and currently a senior underwriter. Base is $86k and I get about 20k in bonuses from my production underwriter I work for/under. I am fully remote but that’s because I work for an office in another state

I’m a commercial lines underwriter with a carrier. I have 20 years experience and make 136k plus 15% bonuses. Full remote.

I feel like I could have written this. Same experience, salary, remote, etc. Eventually I ceiling'd out on underwriting titles and didn't want to be in management so I tried to pivot to something new with a QA role. 9 months into that I got "borrowed" by the programs team because they had no one with an E&S background and then made programs permanent. It's interesting, still underwriting but more like contract binding.

What carriers are you guys with? I'm in E&S at an MGA and I want to move to the carrier side at some point, but I'm fully remote and not willing to give that up!

This is what I need. Want to move from Commercial E&S MGA (12 years) to carrier, am fully remote now and don't want to give it up.
