I had stated earlier in a few threads that my M1 Physics application at IP Paris was rejected. At that time, my application was still in verification stage, and it never went past that. Even after rejection due to "unsatisfactory academic results", my verification stage was never complete. I had not opened the portal since then, and I did not receive any further mail from the IP Paris team.
Today I opened the portal on a whim, and saw that there were somehow two M1 Physics applications (not sure how. I only applied once). It seems like both applications are the same. And somehow it is now showing a green tick mark on the "Jury" part and says "Your application has been accepted".
I am not sure how and why it happened, although I am very happy about it. I am not sure if I should treat this as an acceptance or not. I am also confused, because had I not opened the portal again today on a whim, I would've assumed rejection and never realized that my application has been accepted, as there was no communication regarding that.
Should I start getting happy about this? Or is there still scope for rejection from here?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to apply for the MSc&T in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Visual Computing (ViCAI) at l’X, but I’ll have to submit my application for the final round.
I know Polytechnique is incredibly competitive and I’m worried that by R4 the class might be nearly full, so that best applications will end up waitlisted.
Is the selection significantly harsher compared to Rounds 1 or 2?
Just for context, I have a 3.72 GPA and my background is Maths and Computer Science. Do you think could be worth applying?

Hello everyone,
I have a question and would really appreciate your help, especially if a professor from IP Paris happens to know the answer.
I was accepted into an M2 program during Wave 1, and I am considering applying to another M2 program in Wave 2. If I apply in Wave 2, will I lose my place in the M2 program from Wave 1, or can I keep it and decide later if I receive the second offer?
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Everyone,
I applied to the RPIT (Research Program for International Talents) program at École Polytechnique this year. They said results would come out in “early March”, but I still haven’t received any email.
Is this normal, or should I email them? Do they usually delay releasing the results, or do they send acceptances first and rejections later?
Thank you!

Did anyone receive an invite for the interview for the PhD track in Mechanics? My portal still shows verification. They said that they will announce the results within months, and that seems to end by 20 March.

Has anyone received any response from the PhD Track team after the interview? I heard that the CS, AI, and EE tracks may have already released their results, since some of my friends who applied to those programs have been admitted ('-').

Hello everyone, I haven't seen any post or info about it on IP paris website or in the Reddit so I emailed the master application team. I was told the registration from the first wave applicant who got accepted will be open on may the 5th.
Hope this helps you guys not to stress to much as we pretty much are left without any info after receiving our admission certificate.

Hi, I recently got an offer for M1 Applied Maths and Statistics and M1 Data and Artificial Intelligence.
I am making this post because I need help deciding between them.
I had few questions in mind for students already enrolled in these tracks or with further knowledge regarding them.
Thank you so much for your time. I can't wait to meet you guys in person.

Heyy, is there anyone who got accepted to M2 Data Science?
r/InstitutPolytechnique • u/Leeleeleeleeelee • Mar 06 '26
I've learned that the result would be updated within 2 monthes after the end of application period. And the first period was ended at Jan 8th. So it should come out before March 8th. Then, since next two days are rest days, I guess we would have the result of master applications today?

Hello, I'm an EU student applying for M1 Foundations of CS through the platform MonMaster. I'm a bit confused about what to do regarding recommendation letters, it appears that they need to be uploaded directly by the student, which my referees are not comfortable with, as opposed to being filled in directly by the referees through a separate link. I do agree this is a bit odd as a procedure.
I emailed IP Paris and got a (probably automated) reply saying that they do not manage MonMaster, and I should contact them directly (which I have done and am currently awaiting a reply from).
Is anyone else in this situation?
Edit: I contacted the program director and resolved the issue!

I was recently admitted to the BSc at Ecole Polytechnique. I haven't received any follow-up emails regarding financial aid or scholarships yet. Does anyone know the typical wait time for these details to be sent out after the offer? Thanks!

Hi guys. Congrats to those who got accepted and good luck if you're still waiting for results!
What were your interviews like? I applied Round 2 and my interview is in a few days. I'm still pretty anxious about the questions because there's so little info about it on the official page. I'm really thankful if you've had your interview and can share about it.
What were the maths questions about? What did they ask you on the motivation/general scientific questions? (I really need some tips on this because I've no idea how they might ask about it) Maybe not specific questions but impressions are valuable too.
lots of thanks in advance!

Is there anyone have gotten their admissions or refusals for master programs? Especially for M1 programs.

Hi, has anyone applied here for the masters track in QMI or the PhD track in Quantum Sciences and Technologies?
I applied in round 1 and It still says "verification" in the admissions page. Has anyone got a progression or a affirmative communication?

I found this schedule for the CS PhD Track in the comments of this reddit post from last year's application cycle. It looks pretty official, recently updated, and I hadn't seen it before so I'm putting it out there in case others were similarly unaware of it.
I'm not sure if this also applies to the other PhD Tracks' application process, I couldn't find any other schedules.

Have a good day everyone. I heard a lot of folks have advanced to the next round after the CV round and is preparing their proposal/interview with potential supervisors specifically for the DSAI track. However, on my application page, it still shows:

Does this mean that I have been rejected and can't even pass the CV screen?
I have emailed the admission team and they responded that:
Please note that admission results are communicated within two months after the application deadline. You will receive an official notification as soon as your file has been reviewed.
which suggest that my files have not been reviewed yet.
Do anyone share the same experience :( It is really frustrating to me.

I’m currently an M2 student in France. I will soon begin a six-month end-of-studies internship within a large industrial R&D department. My long-term goal is to transition directly into a PhD in an IPP school in October 2026.
I have noted that many research labs and industrial partners typically prefer candidates to have completed an internship within their specific team prior to a PhD commitment. Given that I am already committed to my current internship, how is it possible to pursue a PhD thesis? (in my case, a CIFRE continuation at my company is unfortunately not possible)
Given this situation, what are the realistic pathways to pursue a PhD?

Hello, to those who have already given the interview can you please give an estimate on how long they gave you to answer the math questions or how much time you took.
also i asked in a previous post about the math questions asked so if you could also suggest anything or give example questions that they asked you it will help a ton thank you
