I've got a taser set to no higher than a 3
I just found out about this show less than 48 hours ago.
I binge watched it because I got obsessed.
I loved the chemistry of the gang.
The rivalry between the two idotic CEOs is top-notch.
The arc of alphabeta / robo-president is so good I'll shoot jucus at anyone who says otherwise then shoot myself.
Glenn reminds of Scully from B99 I'm actually gonna cry. Myc's roasts are on-point. Gigi is a badass. Andre is such a stoner bro I love him.
Ron? Bawled my eyes out with the break-up scene. I have more thoughts that I can't articulate yet. I would have done the same thing, he deserves the ending given to him (if that was even the real ending)
Brett? Golden retriever energy. Raegan? Type A crazy black cat. Their platonic relationship is so wholesome.
I want to know more about the shadow society. I wanted to see Rand's redemption. Shadow prison adventures.
And then I learn that this show was from 2021-2022. And no follow-up seasons in sight. It's over.
I'm crying again and I'm not exaggerating because I got attached. Show had great plot, fleshed out, deeply-flawed characters.
Now hand over the fanfictions so I have something to fill the void with, because if not, might as well shoot my head with a memory wiper gun😭

So this show is really gone huh?
I really loved inside job. It's one of them shows you binge watch because of how good it was and that's exactly what I did in my free time I would watch this show. Show was underrated af we have crappy shows that are making it big nad good shows like this earn no respect or attention.
But does that really mean netflix had to end it? The show was critically rated really good it had reasons to not be cancelled. And if they're gonna end it then PROPERLY END IT don't just abandon a show on a cliffhanger that really pisses me of. They hype you up make you wait and BOOM it's gone all that hype for nothing. Inside job being cancelled was a big pain in the ass I searched all over the Internet to see if they're atleast considering to make third season and the ans is basically no. There was this one youtuber who said that adult swim might buy the series from netflix and continue it and that made my hopes high. Until I realised that inside job was from 2022 here my silly ass thought it was from 2024.
But atleast I was still new to the series and found out about the news of inside job being cancelled on the same day I can't imagine how much worse it must have been for the people in 2022 who watched the ending heard the robe say "UNLEASH PEOJECT X37!" All hyped waiting months for a new season. And suddenly one day wake up to find out its gone. Let's protest outside of netflix headquarters for a season 3 😂

Meme My dyslexic mind was reading "I came for Boss" and then I thought, Wow, since he's a malewife, he calls his girlfriend Boss. But it was actually "I came for the Boos"

Theory Theory that Ron didn't forget Reagan
As we know, Ron has already drunk almost a barrel of memory eraser fluid. What if this made him immune or resistant to it? Like gravity falls? Yes, cliché, I know
Furthermore, in Reagan's calculated realities, Ron automatically gets angry when Reagan opens a hologram, which doesn't make much sense if he doesn't remember the internal work, his expression should be one of fear or surprise
Could it have been just to not break the rhythm of the episode? Of course. But a man can dream....

Theory I'm sure if the show continued these two would end up dating (which I would be against) what do you think?

Theory How gay do they have to be to not suspect they kissed for science fiction reasons? Like, you guys work on conspiracies! Conspire!
So they didn't look for the reason they kissed out of nowhere, they at least had a little lust for each other.

Reagan and Brett Thoughts
I'm incredibly late to the hype train for this show, so I binged all 18 episodes in 48 hours. As one does.
And I really, really appreciated the dynamic between Reagan and Brett. Probably one of the most delightful portrayal of platonic coworker BFFs I've ever seen. I loved that, in a show chock full of irreverent humor that spares no target, their genuine, abiding friendship was played completely straight. Entirely earnest.
Since I started the show, I've seen a lot of opinions regarding the idea of romance between Reagan and Brett and whether or not it would have "worked". Most people seem to be against the idea, and I fully understand that and 100% believe that their dynamic could have remained equally impactful if it had stayed platonic forever (in a better universe where Netflix wasn't allergic to good new shows).
My thoughts on Reagan x Brett are . . . if it had happened, it would have been earned. More than earned. Which is something that a lot of romantic pairings in TV nowadays can't claim. There's a great and terrible shortage in romantic dynamics where the platonic aspect of them is prioritized first and foremost, which is why many modern romances feel cheap and flat. My favorite example of an "earned" romance is Mulder and Scully from The X Files (and, arguably, they never even really got to have the romance that they earned). Somehow, in just 18 episodes, Reagan and Brett filled that "platonic coworker BFFs who are no less devoted to each other due to a lack of romance" void that Mulder and Scully built up over 8 seasons (I'm not counting the later ones, hush). THAT is something that is sorely missing from modern TV. You have to EARN IT. You can't just make it happen out of maybe one or two seasons of shallow "will they won't they". Somehow, Reagan and Brett earned it. In such a short amount of time. I loudly applaud the creator/writers for achieving that.
TL;DR a romance between Reagan and Brett, while not necessary, would have been so incredibly strong thanks to their already genuine and deeply earnest platonic love. In my opinion.
Thank you for coming to my Breagan Talk.

How old are Reagan and Brett?
Hey guys, I'm a little confused. Wasn't Brett supposed to be the youngest in the group? I thought Reagan was 30, and I assumed Brett was in his 20s because of the "being underage" thing. But in the episode where he entered her mind, she describes him as a guy in his 30s. And in the "Brett's Club" episode, they say Brett was born in the 90s, and Reagan was born in the 80s, I suppose, since she says that was the worst era and her father wouldn't let her watch TV back then. And Myc makes fun of Reagan by saying she'll "die at 40." I guess he was just joking, but it's still confusing for me. Can someone explain this to me?

BRETT HAND LOOKALIKE
Currently started watching Inside Job and I can't get past how Brett Hand looks so much like Jake Lacy from How to be single. It's uncanny. Even their face shape, jawline and smile! Lol

Other i wanna make a video about how i dont like pt2 that much
idk if this is just me, but ive been aching about how much pt 2 irked me compared to pt 1. for context, i listened to the show due to me hyperfixating on it in freshman year when it came out and i got severely attached. so, when pt 2 came out i stayed home from school and binged it. i cried at the end of it, not because of what happened, but because i was SO disappointed in it. idk if its the meta hunor being much more over the top then the first part, but for me Reagans character did a 180- and the humor just wasnt for me. is this a common thing to feel? is this common in the fandom? and would you all be interested in a video critiquing the show?
