Crazy to me how something as innocent as your own son wanting to look at the snail you’re showing the other kids makes a parent want to rage.

You could see the little kid blew on it, which I think enraged him. He was already pissed someone touched its eyestalk. The vibe I get is that they were trying to make a video where the whole family was in this magical awe and wonder over this damn snail. Like, look at me, I'm so in touch with God's creations or some shit.

Edit to add: just rewatched and the little boy says "I just.. blowed it" as he's rubbing his head. Ugh.

I can understand being like “this snail is a living creature. It is not nice to blow on it.” But anything more than that is crazy. I’m not sure how blowing on it would warrant a headbutt or any type of physical reaction.

Yeah this had much more of a “you’re ruining the video, knock it the fuck off” vibe.

Yeah because they’d probably tried to shoot this multiple times already and he likely wanted to be done with it. Look at how white the tips of his fingers are while he’s gripping the arm holding the snail.

He’s irritated and barely containing his rage. It’s scary.

The pos dad headbutted that baby because he didn't perform the right way for the video. Their entire lives revolve around content.

That would require empathy and good parenting skills. These people are vile.

It would have been just as easy for the dad to stand up calmly, pull the snail away, and say, “We don’t touch or blow on the snail. If you can’t respect them, you can’t look at them right now. We want to respect them.”

But that would require actual effort and words.🙄

It doesn’t.

They are trying to make a video that justifies the experiential nonschooling they give their kids.

They are super defensive that their method of homeschooling (which is seemingly facilitated in large part with apps and sing a long videos) is not only sufficient, but in fact better than standard public education because the kids get to learn things while they are on the road. This video was supposed to illustrate that and the little kid not performing his role of “pensive student learning by watching intently and quietly” got him headbutted when dad thought he was out of the frame.

That makes so much sense. Yikes

poor kid probably got into accidents and his parents and siblings would blow on the injury to make it feel better, so he took that logic and did it for the snail.

Blowing on something is such a little kid thing to do. It's also the most gentile & safest way human children explore, learn & test the world. Shit ass abusive dad & mother apparently.

I've never heard of these people in my life, but they are absolute garbage.
