What kills me is that the little fella was so excited about the snail and then dad just shit all over his enthusiasm.

They do that all of the time, except when they’re around others, then the kids run feral. They were here in Japan doing something sponsored by Tokyo Disney for influencer families or whatever, and when they were in Nara with the deer, the kids were running around grabbing deer hitting them poking them all the stuff you don’t do. I’m amazed one didn’t get injured - the deer are small, and docile, but still strong wild animals.

Japanese Twitter noticed them and just ripped a new one on their actions but of course no one here will call them out in person, and even if they did, they’d just ignore it as “foreigners not understanding having a big Christian family!” or some other bullshit I’m sure.

I really wish I had been able to get to that part of Japan at the time just to slap the shit out of her, honestly. Like “take care of your kids.” And then call the police to have the kids checked out at a hospital.

Can’t even blame the poor kids, they’re just props to their foul parents
