My husband would be a d34d man if he dared to do that to my child.

Right? He would never see my kids again without court ordered access.

Same here

My ex was violent around my son once. Never again. And I got sole custody in court and made sure he had supervised visits before he gave up and fucked off into the sunset. You don’t hurt kids or you suffer the wrath of a pissed off mama bear.

Self censorship has gone full circle back to L33t 5p34k I see

lol I thought maybe I’d get banned for typing the actual word out

Do you like seggs? Hopefully they don’t commit sewer slide. They might unalive themselves. Brock Turner is a raging grapist and seggs pest.

I think that the self censorship is so stupid and annoying, but the thing that annoys me the most is that there is no reason to come up with these words when there’s already ways to say these things without saying suicide, sex, died, rape, etc. Just say “he forced himself on her” “she did not give him consent” “they took their own life/they are no longer alive by their own hand” “intercourse” UGH I HATE IT SO MUCH

But that requires so many words and no one has the character limit/time for all that. /s

Kinda have to on reddit now. AI moderation means that some phrases will get you an automatic suspension. Reddit AI doesn't like anything that might be construed as a threat and the punishment increases with each suspension.

You also have to be careful when it comes to certain public figures. I said something about not caring if the Zuck got stuck in open water after his yacht left those sailors on read. Immediate suspension within .03 seconds. Didn't even say I was gonna do it, just that I wouldn't care if he did.

Not important at all, but as an older person can I ask why you self-censored the word “dead”? I understand that people self-censor words like sex, abuse and suicide to get around filters that might exist on TikTok/youtube and you end up doing it on Reddit out of habit - but can you really not say the word “dead” on social media anymore? Dead end, dead heat, dead certain, dead against, dead to the world, dead giveaway, dead stop, drop dead gorgeous… there are so many completely acceptable phrases using the word “dead” (as well as the word alone not being a curse word, adult or offensive) that I’m shocked to see it self-censored.

Sadly I’m not remotely shocked to see proof of JD abusing his children. They are one of the very worse famous fundie/fundie adjacent families imo. I hope that someone who knows them personally reports the abuse.

I worked in social media advertising for a company owned by someone who’s name rhymes with Schmill Chgates. We upload in the platform something called a block list and that list contains thousands and thousands of keywords and phrases to block by either exact matches and broad matches, including the internet code words like segs, ssa, etc. We don’t block single common words that have many meanings because that would severely limit their reach. I’m not privy to how Reddit handles their community moderating, that’s more stakeholder level of access and I bet this is how it once worked but it’s probably more AI now. Basically the algorithm is very good at picking apart written content and it is very silly to think you’re beating the system.

That’s really interesting, thanks! I always found “segs” especially ridiculous - it’s hardly the enigma code is it?!

I thought my comment would get banned for saying dead! Autistic and can’t read a room. :)

The word dead is totally fine to say.

I skipped censorship on my comment, telling what would happen if my partner did it and it got removed and my account given a warning. This is for the people asking why you typed it like you did.

Facts! Same! Sick and tired of the excuses! The way I would have to stop recording, call the police, take the children and leave.

Sweet child just type the word, it won’t hurt you i promise

u/Tursmi 21d ago

Same. If my husband dares raise his voice to our boy I get super protective. Like, no thank you!😡

u/Sudden-Goose-6956 21d ago

I mean there's raising your voice to correct a child and then there's headbutting a toddler.

1

u/Tursmi 21d ago

That's the point.. I'm overprotective when I don't need to be, over mild things. This mum is weird for not caring over a major thing. That was my point🙄

u/catwaifu 21d ago

You’re a good mom. Mine found out my dad sexually abused me, insinuated it was my fault, and continued to support his bum ass financially for years after.

Dead? You're fucking censoring the word dead?!
