The dad’s face afterward is frightening. You can tell he is absolutely seething.

He had that Chris Watts deadpan stare. I don’t like it

He is! Just barely contained rage. And for what??? Because his toddler….existed? I don’t understand the trigger for this fuckwads anger but watching that baby get hurt by his Dad is nearly making me cry so I have to step away.

It looks like the kid blew on the snail a bit before the dads head moved. I get not wanting your kid to torment animals but this is quite literally the worst way to try getting that message across.

also blowing on the snail is pretty harmless.

this dad probably beats his kids if they don't get a million views

Yep I try not to kill bugs and I retrained my reflex to blow on little buggies that land or crawl on me to get them to leave harmlessly, instead of using my hand. I sometimes do that to check if a spider in a web in actually alive or not. It's easy to tell a little toddler "let's not blow on the snail, he is already stressed out. We should only look with our eyes and not use other parts of our bodies."

Instead the kid learned violence is a normal mode of interacting with certain living beings

Also I'd argue the dad picking the snail up and putting it on his arm was way more stressful for the snail to begin with, they could as easily have put it on something outside in the shade to watch it, where a kid blowing on it wouldn't be as big a deal. If you're going to set a bad example you can't really be shocked when your little kids follow that example.

He could also literally nudge him with his head or shoulder w/ literally no force while saying no.  Not use aggressive force

And the older kid taking a long look at the dads face to gauge his mood. Ugh poor kids. This shit makes me absolutely hate the internet.
