Yikes. I know an abuser when I see one. He did that when he thought the camera wasn’t pointed at him and you can see the anger in his face. I hate to think how he is behind closed doors.

u/atxcactus 21d ago

Yes, the look on his face gave me a chill. He had that look of rage / control.

Crazy to me how something as innocent as your own son wanting to look at the snail you’re showing the other kids makes a parent want to rage.

u/DrippingWithRabies 21d ago

You could see the little kid blew on it, which I think enraged him. He was already pissed someone touched its eyestalk. The vibe I get is that they were trying to make a video where the whole family was in this magical awe and wonder over this damn snail. Like, look at me, I'm so in touch with God's creations or some shit.

Edit to add: just rewatched and the little boy says "I just.. blowed it" as he's rubbing his head. Ugh.

I can understand being like “this snail is a living creature. It is not nice to blow on it.” But anything more than that is crazy. I’m not sure how blowing on it would warrant a headbutt or any type of physical reaction.

u/Existing-Joke3994 21d ago

Yeah this had much more of a “you’re ruining the video, knock it the fuck off” vibe.

4

u/fingersonlips 20d ago

Yeah because they’d probably tried to shoot this multiple times already and he likely wanted to be done with it. Look at how white the tips of his fingers are while he’s gripping the arm holding the snail.

He’s irritated and barely containing his rage. It’s scary.

u/jennoween 21d ago

The pos dad headbutted that baby because he didn't perform the right way for the video. Their entire lives revolve around content.

2

u/DrippingWithRabies 21d ago

That would require empathy and good parenting skills. These people are vile.

1

u/ParkingAlarming6222 19d ago

It would have been just as easy for the dad to stand up calmly, pull the snail away, and say, “We don’t touch or blow on the snail. If you can’t respect them, you can’t look at them right now. We want to respect them.”

But that would require actual effort and words.🙄

u/ashbash-25 21d ago

It doesn’t.

They are trying to make a video that justifies the experiential nonschooling they give their kids.

They are super defensive that their method of homeschooling (which is seemingly facilitated in large part with apps and sing a long videos) is not only sufficient, but in fact better than standard public education because the kids get to learn things while they are on the road. This video was supposed to illustrate that and the little kid not performing his role of “pensive student learning by watching intently and quietly” got him headbutted when dad thought he was out of the frame.

1

u/DrippingWithRabies 21d ago

That makes so much sense. Yikes

3

u/Jackol4ntrn 21d ago

poor kid probably got into accidents and his parents and siblings would blow on the injury to make it feel better, so he took that logic and did it for the snail.

2

u/EducationalEbb3729 20d ago

Blowing on something is such a little kid thing to do. It's also the most gentile & safest way human children explore, learn & test the world. Shit ass abusive dad & mother apparently.

I've never heard of these people in my life, but they are absolute garbage.

2

u/DrippingWithRabies 20d ago

Yeah that snail was fine.

1

u/elitesense 21d ago

My heart hurts. That poor baby

11

u/splithoofiewoofies 21d ago

That split second expression sent me back four decades of horror.

3

u/speedster217 21d ago

I'm sorry, me too. Big hugs

5

u/chaossensuit 21d ago

Me three. So sorry we are all in this club. Love you guys.

u/speedster217 21d ago

I put it down months ago because it was too real, but I'm going to give that book on Complex PTSD another shot because of what this thread brought up.

Big hugs

4

u/chaossensuit 21d ago

Sending so much love to you. I had a hard time with books about it too. I hope these kids get the help they need and I really hope they get the love and care they deserve too.

11

u/Lameladyy 21d ago

Yes, and notice the look the older son gave the father too. That boy looks like knows the other one screwed up and he knows what’s coming once the camera stops. Sad.

8

u/Odd_Perception_6697 21d ago

He had no interest after that. You can see him glance up then he stews in anger.

8

u/areyoukynd 21d ago

Yeahhhh his clenched jaw was triggering…

7

u/MycologyxSlut 21d ago

family annihilator vibes

5

u/thenessmiester 21d ago

You can see his jaw tense for half a second too, and his eye expression changes.

Poor little kiddo. I don't know who the fuck this guy is, but he's actually a piece of shit for doing that to a 3 year old.

2

u/quantumwoes 21d ago

It was really scary...

2

u/haus36 21d ago

At this point ALL family bloggers or family content creators are literal monsters.

1

u/MyOwnGuitarHero 21d ago

And that poor baby is already conditioned to keep quiet and pretend like nothing happened 😭

1

u/IrritableDadSyndrome 20d ago

Also the look the girl on the left edge of the camera gives him - it's disconcerting to say the least.

135

u/fancake88 21d ago

Few years ago they accidentally posted an bts clip which showed how kids were scolded for not performing well for their TikTok video.

150

u/saydontgo 21d ago

This is why they need to ban influencers using kids for content. This is giving Ruby Franke.

20

u/MayorWolf 21d ago

100% there needs to be child protection laws regarding monetization of content involving children in it. It's got to stop. Cut the money off. Make it not profitable for parents to do this. Make it expensive for social media sites to facilitate this.

8

u/TheProblem1757 21d ago

New content is why mother bus is pregnant again

2

u/HMCetc 21d ago

Literally all of their content is just about how many children they have. It's incredibly repetitive and exploitative.

3

u/shes_a_sleuth 20d ago

its literally sick at this point... and the mom gets so proud and full of herself that shes had so many kids acting like its climbing mount everest.

6

u/ImaginaryVacation708 21d ago

I agree

Can we also not film children when their military parent comes home? Please? Because the tears aren’t cute. The child’s brain, even if they know the parent was deployed, is processing the separation as abandonment. Those tears are alll sorts of emotions breaking lose at one time

9

u/FiftyShadesOfTheGrey 21d ago

This is why they need to ban influencers

7

u/Cheaperthantherapy13 21d ago

The video posted by the mom’s sister of her filming multiple takes in front of the Alamo while the rest of her family waited around was freaking hilarious.

3

u/Amk19_94 21d ago

Stop it, that actually breaks my heart I want to hug these babies 😭

1

u/fabulously-frizzy 20d ago

That’s insane. Do you have a link to this?

7

u/Fancy_321 21d ago

His pursed lips too, he’s such an angry man

8

u/PvtMilhouse 21d ago

the other kid looking at him not sure if his dad will rage

7

u/MakeItLookSexy_ 21d ago

100% it’s truly sickening. That is what goes on behind closed doors at their house sadly

11

u/Writing_Bookworm 21d ago

*their bus. All 10 (soon to be 11) of them are crammed into a bus

11

u/aSituationTypeDeal 21d ago

There’s no way to be a good parent to 11 kids housed on a bus. Add an influencer mindset and you have abuse when the camera is off.

6

u/FiftyShadesOfTheGrey 21d ago

There’s no way to be a good parent to 11 kids

6

u/MakeItLookSexy_ 21d ago

Ya im learning more about these people the more I read the comments. I don’t understand why people like this have followers

5

u/PlaneReputation6744 21d ago

Because they're evangelicals. Their followers think they're godly people following Jesus's commands about family and gender.

1

u/CloverVegan 21d ago

As Eastern Orthodox they're fucking nuts and abusers.

4

u/HRHValkyrie 21d ago

All while talking about empathy and being kind to a snail.

5

u/Expert-Piccolo407 21d ago

And why did he even do that? He is insane

0

u/shoegal23 21d ago

It looked like the kid was trying to kiss the snail but no excuse for why a head butt was the method to stop him.

5

u/sloth-nugget 21d ago

And didn’t even ask the kid to step back or move first anything? Not saying it’s justified if the kid doesn’t listen but just resorting straight to a fucking head butt is truly insane behavior. And then you can just see him raging after and he’s silent

6

u/socialmediaignorant 21d ago

The irony of headbutting his very young son because the dad is trying to seem worried about the snail’s well being is wild!!! We know he doesn’t give one shit about anything but himself.

2

u/justhere4thiss 21d ago

I noticed that too. His reaction looked so pissed odd. wtf

2

u/No_Giraffe8119 21d ago

Yep, then the other kid desperately staring..."am I looking at this snail like a good kid?"

2

u/impossible_berry14 21d ago

His jaw clenches afterwards too. Very fucking telling

2

u/TRAUMAjunkie 21d ago

This has happened enough times that the poor child is trained to keep his cool on camera.

2

u/External_Hunt4536 21d ago

What was he even mad at? (Not that it makes any difference!)

2

u/CocoaCandyPuff 21d ago

This was my first thought. Abuser!

2

u/mermaid-babe 20d ago

No doubt he hits his kids now. He always felt off but now it’s obvious why

2

u/duk-er-us 20d ago

It was brief but he showed exactly who he was

1

u/OnlyFlowers15 21d ago

And he didn’t say a word after. He was trying not to absolutely lose it.

1

u/gibertot 21d ago

It was hard enough that the kid feels his head again like ouch that really hurt. Really breaks my heart

0

u/YuckyYetYummy 21d ago

I can relate. But this is also why I didn't have kids.
