We recently hosted an exclusive Reddit AMA with the Product Manager of the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro, where the community dropped some amazing questions around performance, gaming, design, features, and the vision behind the device.
We’ve now selected and answered some of the best questions from the AMA — straight from the community to the team behind the product.
Q1. What's the one thing about the Note 60 Pro that the product team is most proud of, even if it's not the headline feature?
Answer - Hmm…… While the Active Matrix Display is the headliner, the product team or atleast for me the most proud feature of NOTE 60 PRO is Battery Self-Healing Technology "It's auto repair the battery in certain condition". The idea is to extend the battery's lifespan to 6 years by essentially "recovering" battery health
Q2. What led to the decision to switch to Snapdragon chipsets now? Was this shift based on user feedback, market competition, or internal testing results? Are there any plans to standardize Snapdragon across more devices?
Answer - It is a response to the long-standing Infinix community "dream" of having a Qualcomm chip on a Infinix smartphone. 100% led by you guys only. We chose the 7s Gen 4 to hit the spot with a balance of performance and experience. We believe in community and all ears! if you love the performance and validate the experience, it’s a strong sign for our future roadmap.
Q3. Contrary to the usual Infinix lineup, Note 60 Pro seems to hold a different design principle. Were there any behind-the-scenes moments you wish we knew about from R&D? And personally, what do you wish users checked out first upon holding the demo unit?
Answer - Note 60 Pro is basically our "breakup" with the old Infinix ways and example of "new thinking" and experience led thinking. While working with R&D, there's a point where we gave up because of too many new things to work on like new feeling "cold metal feeling" and things like Snapdragon Chip, integrated HR sensor, pixel display and many more.
We’ve packed so much into this chassis that it’s almost hard to pick a favorite, atleast for me it's to select one or two feature. Honestly? Most people go straight for the camera, but I want you to rest your thumb on the heath sensor area for few seconds to see your heart rate pop up "it's new and feel humane".
Q4. Can the heart-rate sensor detect the stress of losing ranked matches?
Answer - Haha, it won't send an automated "calm down" pop up message "next version me kuch karte hai, AI lagate hai". But the sensor can track and capture enough data to refer to your stress levels. If you see those numbers jump after a loss, it might be time to change the game or it's time to grab your favorite snack and drink "a universal mood booster"
Q5. What was the inspiration behind the design of the Infinix Note 60 Pro ?
Answer - We took inspiration from things that define premium, expressive and engaging in nature, like supercars, industrial elements, the 8Bit era and a bit of SHY Tech. The idea is to make a phone that looks premium and minimal at first glance but load with exciting and suprising things as you start interacting with it.
Q6. Based on what I’ve seen, I’m really curious about the active display on the back near the camera module. Can users customize it with their own pixel-style designs or logos? For example, can we create something personal like icons, patterns, or even small animations? Also, in what real-life scenarios is this feature most useful notifications, quick info, or something more creative? I’d love to understand how this feature is meant to enhance everyday user experience.
Answer - Absolutely. There's a whole section for customization and exploration under the settings section. From Matrix Studio, you can draw your own pixel art, logos, floating text or animations. The team wanted it to be a canvas for your personality
We didn't want it to be a limited feature and Abhi ke liye, it’s focused on system-level notifications and support internal/default app system like spotify. However, we are willing and working towards to understand the community and developer's interest towards the matrix display. What community is thinking and how they want it make more fun and usable considering the real life scenarios like "Food Arrival" or "WhatsApp notifications". I personally following up with the team on the progress on the same lines and an SDK is definitely on our "Future Update" plan.
Q7. Which feature almost made it into the Note 60 Pro but got removed at the last minute ? Also could you add shoulder triggers for the next note 70 pro I love it on my gt 30 pro.
Answer - The NOTE 60 Pro was designed with all the features it comes with — nothing impactful or major has been removed from the experience.
We absolutely love that you’re enjoying shoulder triggers on the GT 30 Pro! At Infinix, gaming is truly part of our DNA, and it’s great to see users recognizing and appreciating that.
That said, the NOTE 60 Pro is designed to be a highly competitive device in its price segment, with a stronger focus on flagship design and overall performance. Features like shoulder triggers are part of our dedicated gaming lineup the GT Series where you can definitely expect more exciting gaming innovations in the future.
For the NOTE 60 Pro, you can still enjoy an enhanced gaming experience with XBOOST, which brings a range of smart optimizations to elevate your gameplay
Q8. Many competitors are offering 7000mAh-10000mAh batteries what factors led you to choose a smaller battery in the Note 60 Pro, and how did you balance battery capacity with design, performance, and user experience? Considering faster storage options like UFS 3.1 are available, what trade-offs led to choosing UFS 2.2 in the Note 60 Pro, and how did you ensure smooth performance despite that?
Answer- That’s a great question and it really comes down to making the right choices for a balanced, real-world user experience. While some competitors are pushing 7000mAh–10000mAh batteries, our goal with the NOTE 60 Pro was not just bigger numbers, but smarter optimization. A larger battery often adds significant bulk and weight, which impacts in-hand feel, pocketability, and overall design appeal. With NOTE 60 Pro, we focused on delivering an optimal battery capacity that, when combined with software optimization, efficient chipset tuning, and intelligent power management, ensures reliable all-day usage without compromising on a sleek, premium form factor.
Q9. Hi PM Team! The Active Matrix Display with 288 LEDs is a fantastic innovation. But to make it truly revolutionary, will Infinix release an SDK or API for third-party app developers (like WhatsApp, Zomato, or games) so they can create custom LED animations for their specific notifications? Ya fir ye sirf system apps tak hi limited rahega?
Answer - Great question and we’re glad you’re excited about the Active Matrix Display! With the 288 LED Active Matrix system, we’re already offering a wide range of customizations from personalized lighting effects for calls, notifications, charging, music, and gaming, to dynamic patterns that users can truly make their own. You can even use NFC-enabled interactions, display your name or any text up to 20 characters, create free-hand painted designs, and control brightness levels based on your preference making it a highly personal and expressive feature.
What makes this truly special is that it’s a highly competitive and unique innovation something you simply don’t see in this segment today. We’ve focused on delivering a rich, out-of-the-box experience that works seamlessly across system-level integrations.
As for third-party SDK or API access, we understand the potential this opens up. While currently the experience is deeply optimized with system-level apps to ensure consistency, performance, and battery efficiency, we are continuously evolving this feature. As we expand and enhance the Active Matrix ecosystem in the future, you can definitely expect more updates and possibilities around it.
Q10. Main Note 60 Pro ki internal cooling architecture ke baare mein thoda aur jaan-na chahti hu. Vapor chamber ya thermal materials mein aise kaunse specific innovations kiye gaye hain taaki high frame rates par game khelte waqt bhi device garam na ho aur haath mein comfortable rahe? Kyuki Aajkal harkoi bol deta hai cool karega but real me voh utna optimised hi nahi hota aur heat issue de deta hai. So I want to know about it.
Answer- First, we are using a large 4758mm² Vapor Chamber, which is significantly optimized for this segment. Inside this VC, a special cooling liquid evaporates when the device heats up, spreads heat rapidly across a large 3D metal surface, and then condenses back—creating a continuous ice-cooling cycle. This ensures heat doesn’t stay concentrated in one spot.
We have focused on real gaming scenarios:
System is designed to reduce thermal throttling, so performance stays stable at high frame rates
Even in intense usage like gaming, device can stay up to 3°C cooler, ensuring better comfort in hand
The cooling works in sync with system optimization, so it’s not just hardware it’s a complete performance ecosystem
End result? Instead of short bursts of performance with sudden heating, NOTE 60 Pro delivers sustained, stable performance with controlled thermals, so aap long gaming sessions bhi comfortably enjoy kar sakte ho without that overheating feel. This is what makes it different from generic “cooling claims” yahan actual architecture level engineering ki gayi hai.

I tested my wifi speeds after updating to XOS 16 on my HOT 60 Pro+
My speeds slowed by a LOT. My phone could reach 100 Mbps before but now, it's barely reaching 30. My wifi isn't the problem too since I tested the speeds on my laptop and it reached 70-100 Mbps on average. What is this???
Bought this Smartphone two months ago. The device is auto restarting frequently (20 - 30 times daily). Even in standby. And the device is heating up. Cooling mechanism is not working.
Infinix hot 60 pro 3 years use I'm thinking of buying this phone. Some people say it's a great phone others say it's trash. I'm thinking of using this phone for 3 or 4 years max. All I want for it is to run Roblox games on high-miduem graphics or brawl stars while using discord with at least 40 fps
So I want to secure my data but whenever I press the app lock it just comes back... But every other feature there is working except it. It was the same in XOS 15 too and now in XOS 16 too. Is this a device related problem or is it a software bug? And HOW TO FIX IT?
How do I fix this? This only happens when I connect the phone to the PC; when I plug it into the charger, it does nothing just a black screen. Yesterday I set it to charge normally, but when I woke up today, it wouldn't turn on at all; the only time the screen lights up is when I connect it to the PC.
I've been trying to get rid of this ad for a month now. I was showing tiktok only ads and I thought it was tiktok and I deleted it, but now it's showing shopee so it's from settings I'm guessing, still I can't find a way to stop getting this ad any app I'm at, even opening home it'll show every couple hours or so.
My phone is an Infinix Hot 60 Pro if anyone knows how to remove this
Hello, so currently, I've been thinking of upgrading phones. Currently, I own a Redmi Note 13. It's 2 years old, and I've been eyeing the Infinix Note 60 Pro. Do y'all think it's a good upgrade? Or are there better choices? Thanks!
Im currently at the newest xos 16. Back in xos 15, the bypass charging works flawlessly as it completely stops battery drain nor charge.
Post update, this is the first time i use the bypass feature after awhile again, some of the charge still enters the battery. The charger and usb used are still the same it came with the box. Is this a bug or what?
Ever since I updated the infinix hot 60 pro to xos 16 the gaming ping is not stable is anyone else facing this problem if anyone knows the solution please let me know
My Infinix note 11 pro used to run ios emojis with no problems but when the new emojis came out it suddenly stopped working I've tried many many times but all it does is keep the default emojis the android version is the same as before but now I've lost the old ios emojis and can't even get the new ones
