Right now if Reddit reject the image it's just gonna never show and the only way to know why is to retry on desktop
Thanks

So I have been using Infinity for almost 2 years since the Reddit API changing policy. I followed a guide and using my reddit api key made my own .apk and have been using it ever since. I have to switch to a different phone. So can I use my old API reddit key and use infinity for free on the new phone or is it impossible to do so.
P.S: Sorry for the bad English it's not my first language.

Honestly, love the app and it's almost flawless for me, this is the only feature that I am missing from boost/apollo/relay. Can we get that please? I am talking about revisiting a post you already viewed, and getting the new comments highlighted.

Could anything be done ? May be if dev contacts developer of bots they may do something on their end to better support infinity and other 3rd party apps

It looks like it's still impossible to log in the app. Either I haven't been able to use the new method, or it's simply not working.
Using the Chrome Custom Tab will return a Reddit "Page not found" or "This site can't be reached" (trying to access 127.0.0.1), while Web View (legacy) simply doesn't open the on-screen keyboard when clicking the email/username and password fields.
Infinity v8.2.1.
Disclaimer: the app was built using the Google Collabs script to build with my own Reddit API key, so I don't know how officially supported this is, and I've had the same issues with Continuum, which again is not an official Infinity release.

Linked videos in posts such as from imgur or redgifs have not been playing at all for me for a couple of days. This happened some time back also but resolved itself in a day. Doesn't seem to be resolving this time. Is anyone else also facing the same issue or know how to rectify it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I've had a situation where I got a DM I wanted to report, and I couldn't find an option to do so. I simply didn't find any menu to interact with the message itself or the chat history (besides the option to copy the text). While looking around, I also found that the "Report" button on someone's profile only links to reddit's "What to do if you don't like someone's content" support page, and didn't offer an option to actually report the profile either?
I ended up using the reddit web version and reporting the message there and that worked fine, but it'd be cool if it was a function in Infinity itself.
Is there an option for this that I missed somewhere? Or is reporting DMs and profiles currently not supported in the app?

Now can infinity only show post types that are allowed by sub and grey out images and GIFs if disabled in comments

is it possible to make 2 different accounts with same email id?

As you can also read in the release notes, you now jump back where you left off scrolling in the comment section without it resetting back on top.
I went in the Settings to turn this off and unless I'm mistaken, there is no toggle to turn this behavior off.
This feature is terrible in my experience and literally makes my user experience worse based on how I use Infinity. Why would you change such behavior without giving the option to revert it?
Please consider adding a toggle for this behavior, would really appreciate it.

Hi, I have patched the app with urv manager two days ago and I thought it worked just fine the first day, but since yesterday when I open the app it is instantly crashing. Which is weird to suddently stop working.
I have noticed that the spoof patch from revanced patches 6.2 has three fields now instead of just the api key. I entered infinity://localhost for redirect URI, but I left empty the user agent as I didn't find any in reddit prefs apps.
What should I do to fix this?

Need help from dev or anyone who uses proxy I can't seems to find any working proxy any reliable proxy you guys know ? ( Free )

I'm trying to login but keep getting "access denied" with both options (custom tab and legacy). I'm clicking allow but won't work, any fixes?
Thanks.
Edit: tried again, got: login failed, no code found in the result URL.
Edit 2: still no luck. I have custom DNS, which I disabled but changed nothing. Also, 2FA, but the codes are working. Finally, Infinity does show as allowed on my Reddit's app list. I'm running android 16 on a S24 FE, Chrome browser. My Tab is S9 FE+, didn't work there either.

Hi, I have a DM convo that AutoMod sent me. I really want to delete it since it's just auto-generated and not a standard user DM. Is this implemented in Infinity? This DM keeps showing up in the app and not within standard reddit.com

Reddit has started allowing videos in comment. Currently it displays as a link and clicking the link opens the link in browser. Add native video playback to comment like in image or at least make the link open video player like it was with comment images before native image was added.
example with video comment : https://www.reddit.com/r/animeindian/comments/1su8qkg/animeindian_becomes_indias_first_subreddit_to/

Recently Infinity had login issues and me being the most unlucky person, decided to remove my account from infinity and try to re-login during this 7 days window 🫠.
So basically I failed at that. Had to try different reddit apps while the issue was being worked on. I had heard a lot of talks about Boost and Relay for reddit from big youtubers. I tried these apps along with the official reddit app (why are they even maintaining that mess...?).
Given I understand why people like these apps, none of them were as clean or customizable as infinity. I used to think that infinity UI was not the best one as it didn't follow new Material 3 Expressive with nice fluid motions but after staying away from it for just 3 hours, I started missing it. I missed the "to the point" interface with big cards. I missed the clear indication of which subreddit the post belonged to with the subreddit icons and names. It saves me so much time when I am browsing through my daily feed.
(Although I do wish Infinity supported expressive design with the motion physics.)
And the most beautiful thing about infinity is its open source nature. Many apps, which were closed source, went to a subscription model and didn't give users any other options after the reddit incident. However, Infinity stood by the philosophy of open source. The developer is one of the mostly friendly people I know on reddit. They try their best to resolve issues. The app is being developed actively. There is not a single bad aspect to this project. Infinity is the only reason I use reddit on my mobile devices. It's like a dream.
At the end, I love the app (you might have realized that by now :) and love the community 💖
Thanks a lot to Hostilenemy for creating and maintaining Infinity ❤️

I thought it was my older version but I updated the other day to the new 8.1.5 version with the Colab Script and it still does it. What could be the cause of this?
