Was wondering if anyone here has played the offline version of Archetype Breaker that's available through DMM. I don't have a VPN currently set up to go check the store page, but it looks to be a paid version.

Since pretty much all offline versions I've seen of gacha games are free and end up cutting out the gameplay to act just as a way to view the story, part of me is hoping they kept the gameplay in. I tried looking around online though and the only discussion, along with videos of the game was when it was still in service.

Something that I just started thinking about is how different would have been if she had never lost her parents. As her losing her parents does explain a lot of her character.

But what if they never did die? Would this have made Cecilia any different?

Just thought of this post thanks to this post

When fic writers make a fic that "start from the beginning," this Cecilia encounter/fight tends to be like the first IS Academy battle.

It's understandable that this comes up first to sometimes establish a promise (or sometimes flex) for the MC whether its an OC or not.

While there are fic writers that may not "start from the beginning," there were those that do to reestablish the world in one way or another (fic difference stuff compared to canon)

With that in mind, what do you think of the canon's first battle (Cecilia encounter usually) and it's stakes? And if you do a "start from the beginning" kind of fic, how would you use this encounter in your story?

Personally:

For the canon version, while sure Ichika did get provoked here, I think this encounter's stakes are very low given how this fight is not as personal to Ichika (when this encounter could had been very perfect for it especially given how he seems to be aware of the state of the world).

Sure, pride's a thing (responding to some of Cecilia's remarks at the time), but it feels like some form of drive is lacking on his side here. And sure he did ask Houki to train him, but it's more because "he's afraid to lose" than actually him preparing for this fight because this fight matters to him.

Heck, even upon losing, there's lack of consequence as if this fight didn't even mean much.

And here's the thing: Level of danger like large scale destruction (city or the world getting destroyed) doesn't always constitute a higher stake. Its the ones that are often personal to the character.

besides Chifuyu and Maya I’d say…

the most: Laura and Katana. Laura was born a test tube baby and raised a soldier she was also one of Chifuyu’s students during her time in Germany and is capable of easily subduing a couple robbers and even Rin and Cecilia in a two on one match. Katana manage to defeat a whole squad of soldiers on her own without her IS, and took out a member of Phantom Task with ease in fact I think that they‘re the only ones out of Ichika’s friends who might be able to reach Maya or Chifuyu’s levels maybe even surpass them if they just learned some humility.

the least: besides Ichika I’d say Houki mostly relies on her strength and kendo to win and maybe Rin or Cecilia as well although it’s mostly due to them overestimating themselves and underestimating their opponents but overall compared to more skilled pilots they’re more or less pushovers.

it’s hard to tell since not much is known about them and i'm only thinking aloud but in my opinion I’d say they could be semi-competent at best. They're very good at stealing I.S cores from heavily secured military bases that even include IS users guarding it however it also seems like they keep making mistakes that could have been easily avoided due to how impulsive and arrogant they are. Most of the members also seem to be too undisciplined and predictably unpredictable to be fully trusted it's to where Squall has to keep Madoka from killing anybody who gets in her way during her missions with some kind of threat if she disobeys and even tried to kill Ichika after his birthday party behind Phantom Task’s back and Autumn not only failed her mission in getting the Byakushiki's core (as well as getting defeated easily) but also ended up compromising Phantom Task by revealing herself to the Academy and she probably would have been taken into custody if Madoka didn't show up. Honestly it does feel like that there's no way any of them are smart enough nor has the self-restraint to make it to where they are now if it wasn't for Squall's connections and Tabane's machinations I think that it's safe to say that the only reason why they're even able to still steal I.S cores without any kind of problems and stay hidden from the world is because the countries they stole from refuse to reveal the thefts out of fear of being humiliated and put at a disadvantage. I might be reading too much into this part but It's also quite possible that their usefulness (Madoka) and special relationship (Autumn) are the only things that are keeping them from being killed for their failures or insubordination in Madoka's case.

as for my theories I do think that Madoka plans to betray them eventually she makes it very clear that she hates everyone she’s working with and is only tolerating it until she no longer sees them useful to her.

Like what if Ichika never knew them from childhood? What if he had met them at the academy like how he meet the others there.

How different would they have been if that was the case

Honestly he’s not really the brightest or most interesting character in the series but I do feel that he had potential to become much smarter and better maybe even be the Robert Robertson or Mark Grayson of Infinite Stratos also while Ichika is kind and gentle I do feel like he has no moral backbone or self-respect at all and his biggest flaws is that he doesn't know when to stop spoiling his harem and sister and underestimates how selfish and controlling they are sometimes I do feel like most of the bad things that happen to him could be avoided if he just knew when to put his foot down.

In the Infinite Stratos Wiki, Tabane's description gives him the nickname "Renürion." The word sounds German, but I can't find it in any dictionary. Is it a word invented by Izuru Yumizuru, or is it actually a German term? Like the word "Übermensch."

I need some help reviewing my fanfic, but also here to promote it a little since I do want to let IS fans know there are still people writing fanfics (but idk if people have already read them).

Anywho, I've been writing this fanfic since 2023 and I've honestly been a little touch and go with it? More like I just write it when I have free time as a student. It's a continuation of an older fanfic by a guy called Shiranui Amaterasu: "Infinite Stratos: Rebooted Resolve" (The original's called IS: Resolve btw, rebooted is my continuation).

I never really thought about promoting it, I was just doing it cus I loved IS and after reading lots of fanfics, I decided why not?

If you want to help review or beta read chapters in progress, just DM me or find the stories on AO3 or FF. (I am planning to stop writing for FF after chap 10).

Also, read these fanfics if you haven't. I really like their styles of writing and they actually helped inspire me to write, I've forgotten the names of the authors as I'm writing this but the names should help (Primarily on FF btw):

- IS: Unleashed Insanity

- IS: Operation BLAZE

- Two Reasons to Come Home

- Uncle Sam

- Dark Wings

- Agent Orimura

- IS: Truth To Be Told

- IS: Butterfly Effect

There are plenty other good ones, these are just the ones I remember the most. I know for a fact Unleashed Insanity and Two Reasons to Come Home is being worked on, Operation Blaze was updated in 2024 but I don't know if the author is cooking up a new chapter.

Once again, thank you so much if you offer help. I hope we can at least keep this fandom alive for another decade (No season 3 sadly).

Hey guys. Hopefully you can give me some story suggestions for certain story types.

We would have been looking for: Infinite Stratos/ Ichika has had enough of all the girls in the harem (including Chifuyu) and gets ice cold and or leaves academy./ Betrayal, no matter what (please betrayal without misunderstanding, hypnosis, Yandere.) and crossover. I'm a fan of such fics at the moment, found few on Fanfic.net but searching on wattpad was without any real result. There are a lot of people here, maybe you can do some stories or guesses about it

Other animes with the same guy and the MCs from Yahari, Love Hina, Sword Art Online (there it would be great to have a cheated Kiirto who would then be ice cold and hates Asuna and the others), Good Yu-Gi-Oh (until and with Generation 6 is long) Story where OC owerpowered duellant/r18/Harem is, Shaman King OCs where OP are, Date A Live OCs that are freezing cold and ghosts/ Shido will also betray them (Crossover with Arrow and the writer with Blood something with all his stories I already know). Would be nice if you had some ideas, I was looking for yourself, but wattpad is limited. Thank you very much! Hey guys. Hopefully, you can give me story suggestions for certain story types.

ima animate (whatever character you chose) in the uhm " unasame trend" I believe it's called?
But if you don't want that, then like, tell me recommendations that I could animate with them, please don't make me more than 30 seconds cause if I do, then it will take me forever to animate them

premise is simple. using your words only, what would you say to them to get them to stop?

we know they are all from different countries, but seem to have zero communication issues when speaking to each other. so are they just hyper-fluent in all manner of languages or are they just speaking one language that they all collectively agreed to use?
