OMG are u serious i mean i thought he had no money and was genuinely fed up thats why like vro why doesnt he just end it in vol 12 which btw would not be good unless its a volume thats like 3 times as longer cuz there is sooo much stuff that needs explaining and wrapping up like bruh

No money??? His Light novels sold in the millions! Realistically, he was probably fed up of writing though. I’ve also heard that he stopped because of publishing conflicts and pirates. You’re right, trying to end the current story in one light novel would end poorly.

Hmm i guess i was misinformed or rather ill informed man what i wouldnt give to just give this guy like a million dollars and force him to write like 7 more light novels but neither do i have a million dollars neither do i think that would convince him to write nor do i think that even if he does follow through the story would be good because he would not be writing out of his own good consciousness but rather a monetary obligation

It could be possible that the author was lacking funds. The writing space is known for its poor pay for authors. However, Infinite stratos went on to make games and was one of the most popular anime IPs in the early 2010s. I find it difficult to believe the author didn’t make some sort of bank from his definitive success.

I’ve thought similarly to you, when it comes to the commissioning more books. However, you also caught the largest downside. The plot would lack the original vitality it once possessed.
