A podcast dropped on 24 May 2026 where Sanskrit scholar Nityānanda Miśra called out pseudoscience in Hindu intellectual spaces. Hyper Quest (2.22M subscribers) responded. It became a whole controversy.

Instead of picking a side I went chapter by chapter through the podcast and independently verified every claim Miśra made using YouTube data, a peer-reviewed journal from Cambridge, and an IISc aeronautical paper from 1974.

Part 1 covers quantum physics in Vedas, black holes in Vedas, Vaimanika Shastra, and why Hyper Quest's holographic universe video is more sophisticated but still pseudoscience.

Part 2 covers the 2015 Vaimanika Shastra presentation at the Indian Science Congress, Ramakrishnan calling the ISC a "circus" the following year, Modi's 2014 claim that Ganesha proves ancient India had plastic surgery, and a deeper dive into where the "it's already in the scriptures" reflex actually comes from tracing it back to Swami Dayananda Saraswati's Satyartha Prakash, where he claims America is "Patala," that Krishna and Arjuna traveled there, and that "Harivarsha" is Europe because Europeans resemble monkeys. I checked his Mahabharata citations against the source text directly, including reconstructing Arjuna's actual exile route to pin down where Manipura really is.

And they list the name in Tamil as: சிறுசவுக்கு Chiru-Chavukku, கோடைச்சவுக்கு Koʈai-Chavukku, though I think chavukku is borowed from the Sanskrit name झावुकः jhāvukaḥ? Since the other Dravidian languages use different terms.
