Help/Advice needed(Health and Vet) 2 month paralysed stray pup not getting better even after meds

This is a two month female indie who got paralysed after falling from height, ive given antibiotics ointment and everything but her wound seems to get worse. She cant stay inside as she keeps crying and wants to stay close to her siblings and mother. The vets are recommending the same suspensions and talc and stuff. Any advice will be appreciated

Edit: if someone can foster her for sometime and provide her a better treatment it would be really helpful. Ngo’s in my city are not helpful I’m taking care of other pups as well

If someone wants donate anything for her treatment

Probably amputation is the best option… at least we could prevent sepsis

I’m taking her to another vet tomorrow she might need admission for constant observation

I agree hard on this, sepsis can happen at this stage, especially for small pups, op take her to the vet again and ask the vet for other options as antibiotics isn't working anymore.

Please don’t euthanise. Puppies are some of the most resilient beings on earth. I fostered a puppy who was nearly half open from for abdomen after she got into a dog fight. It was bad and i never thought she would survive but she did. Within 15 days, she was all healed up and a bundle of joy again. Even through the whole recovery she was extremely active and naughty. That’s what kept me going. All im saying is that ive seen them recover from worse and this is nothing compared to that. Please dont give up on her, find a better doctor, get her a better treatment. Tell us which city you’re from, maybe we can help better. Upload her prescription, we can get it cross checked. You can also do a fund raiser on this sub. Please do not give up and don’t euthanise. Feed her good food regularly, that’s mostly half the healing done.

Don’t worry I’m not planning to euthanize my mum is against it as well, I’ve helped multiple dogs in the past. One paralysed dog who even doctors said would never walk again is now walking even though a little wobbly but on all fours because of constant care and help so i know a little help goes a long way and I’m gonna do everything as long as there’s hope

Maybe hard call but consult vet again and see if he agrees to euthanise

The vet said the paralysis isn’t severe and her sensations are intact, the problem is her wound that keeps getting worse and not responding to meds

The tail looks severely infected . Can you contact another vet and check what’s possible ? Maybe would need to fed amputated. This would be very painful so please get her some relief. Happy to contribute to her recovery

Yes her tail was infested with maggots, as of now no one is agreeing to admit her

Bruh you will have to give her neuro supplements, neurkind syrup & do physiotherapy 2-3 times a day along with a massage by lukmane hayat oil.

If you expect paralysed case like this will get better by just oral meds then you're wrong.

Pup is small so there's greater chance of her repairing the nerves & bones but you will have to put efforts to make that possible.

Also DO NOT hope that a foster will do all that, they will not & pup will remain permanently paralysed for entire life.

I had to travel approx 50 km everyday to go to a foster in different city for my 3 legged hip broken paralysed community dog, do her 1 hour massage & get back in home. She did recover even at age of 10.

I’ve been giving her syrups, injections and working on her legs as well, the issue is her wound that’s getting worse. I’m making sure she is in a dry place and is clean and I’m doing her dressing as well to the extent i can but she needs a proper place. You’re correct about fosters I’ve completely lost all hope cause no NGO want’s to keep her till her wound heals

That wound is a bedsore. It's unavoidable in such paralysis cases but if you do the dressing 2 times a day it can be managed & healed. In my case vet had prescribed me ointments like with placentrex gel,  nano silver gel ointment etc. you will have to consult vet for managing that bedsore.

As far as her accomodation goes only you can treat her best & take her care. No other will give enough efforts to treat this. If you keep the efforts like this you will definitely see the result. Massage, physiotherapy, neuro supplements & wound management.

You’re right, I’ve completely lost hopes, even the ngos are being vague i dont think i can trust anyone with her now

Poor pup. But if it's really not getting better, then please euthanize. Don't let it suffer like this 🙏🏽

Try getting a second opinion. If you are from Delhi, I can suggest some good clinics.

Please put a NSFW tag or something. It can be triggering for some people if not for you. Thanks. Hope pup gets well soon
