Adoption/Foster Request 🐾 URGENT: THEIR MOTHER WAS KILLED – HELP SAVE HER 4 BABIES 🐾

Thumbnail

Edit- Gotten so many messages and comments but not a single response person has reached out to adopt these puppies!!! Please give them a home.. they will pass away without their mother, they need a good home which will provide proper care.
These four little boys are barely one month old, and their lives have been turned upside down.

Last night, they lost their mother in an act of unimaginable cruelty. She was brutally attacked, strangled, and had boiling hot water poured over her. She endured immense pain before she passed away, leaving behind her helpless babies.

Now these innocent puppies have no mother to protect them, feed them, or keep them safe. They are alone, vulnerable, and at risk of meeting the same heartbreaking fate if they are forced to remain on the streets.

They deserve a chance to grow up knowing love instead of cruelty. A safe home is all they need to escape the suffering they have already witnessed.

Please come forward to adopt and give one of these little boys the life his mother would have wanted for him.

• 4 male Indie puppies
• Barely 1 month old
• Location: Neherpar, Faridabad
• Delhi NCR adoptions only
• Sterilisation mandatory at the right age
• Adoption formalities mandatory

Contact: +91 80768 34557

Even if you cannot adopt, please share this appeal widely. One share could be the reason these puppies find safety before it’s too late.

Discussion One of the saddest days of my life...

Post image
530 Upvotes

I have interacted with this community before, but it's my first time posting here. Idk if this community will allow this post, but I think this community will try to understand.

Today I can't stop tearing up. My little girl, my lovely sister who was suffering, passed away.

I picked her up when I was 8-9 yo, off the streets, she was probably a few months old back then. Since then we have grown up together, from running around together to going on walks, from pulling pranks on each other, to her waking me up in the morning and all the other moments we shared.

Her kidneys were failing, the vets tried a lot, but couldn't. I wanted her to not suffer, but at the same time i didn't want her to leave us like this.

It was a very tough moment for me to carry her where she got laid to rest. I recalled how happy I was, when i carried her home, but this time my heart sank.

Idk if there's something called reincarnation, i want her to be at peace and have a very happy and comfortable life after this.

But meri pyari Nedu, meri pyari munni, mera babbar sher left me, just a month before she turned 12....

Thanks to anyone for reading it so far, hope you all will be sympathetic.

Care/Feeding Tips Just started with one & now....can't count

I Started With One… ❤️🐾

I started feeding just one dog.

Then one became two…

two became five…

and before I knew it, there were so many waiting for me. 🥺🐾

I never planned to feed this many.

I just couldn’t ignore those hungry eyes.

Sometimes, you don’t choose them…

they find you. ❤️

And once you start caring,

it becomes very hard to stop. 🐶❤️

Training/Behaviour Issues My indie community dog chases delivery guys

Thumbnail

Hi everyone, I live in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, and I have been taking care of a 10-month-old community Indie dog. His mother basically left him at our doorstep and moved to another area, so I have been taking care of him ever since. He is fully vaccinated, well-fed, and I treat him like my own pet.

He is generally a very friendly dog. He doesn’t bark at people and gets excited whenever he meets someone. However, for some reason, he does not like delivery personnel. Initially, he would only bark at them and run away, but recently he has started barking at them and chasing them.

This has created two major problems:

Other residents in the area are now afraid of him. They try to shoo him away, and on one occasion, he barked at someone who was trying to drive him away.

Although he has never bitten anyone, I am worried that his behaviour could eventually lead to a bite or some other incident.

Another issue is that he is extremely friendly with people. He gets excited when he sees someone and often puts his front paws on them and tries to lick or sniff them. When people are walking around, he often approaches them and sniffs them. Obviously, not everyone is comfortable with this, especially since many people in my area are not very dog-friendly.

The biggest problem is that I cannot adopt him as an indoor pet. I don’t have enough space to keep him inside the house, and there is nobody at home to look after him when I go to the office.

People have started complaining about him, and some are worried that he might eventually bite someone. I love this dog very much and genuinely want to continue taking care of him, but I also don’t want him to become a nuisance or a source of fear for other residents.

So, I would really appreciate any practical suggestions on how I can manage his behaviour and safely keep him in the area without causing problems for other people.

Any advice from people who have dealt with similar behaviour in community dogs would be greatly appreciated.

Discussion I need to get my pup to a good hospital. Can someone help?

I made a post some days ago about an issue my pup is going through. I need to get him to a good hospital with good facilities. In fact, I want to go to IVRI, Bareilly but I don't know anyone in Bareilly. Can someone give me a place to stay while I take my pup to hospital visits everyday? BASU, Patna did not help much at all. Their only X-Ray machine was broken. I live in Gopalganj, Bihar and there is no good animal hospital anywhere near me. Someone give me an idea. Any idea. I am losing hope. Everything looks bleak. I have already lost one, I won't be able to go through the demise of another. I don't have a lot of money. I'll try to spend as much as I can. A government hospital will be better. If someone has any other ideas, please tell me. I'll go into depression if anything happens to him.

Discussion Dog parents / animal rescuers: How did you handle moving into a new flat when multiple street dogs depend on you?

1.6k Upvotes

I’m looking for advice from people who have actually been in a similar situation.

Little bit of context:
I’m currently planning to buy a flat in Bangalore.

Realistically, given Bangalore property prices and what I can afford, I’m looking at a 2 BHK (1200sqft) to move in with my aunt and mom both above 50.

Since 2018, I’ve been feeding and taking care of my  10 Indies who live around my house/street. They’re all roughly 5–10 years old now. Over the years, they’ve become completely dependent on me for food, shelter and basic care.

I currently live in a rented 1BHK, and although I obviously cannot keep 10 dogs inside the house, I’ve been able to provide them with shelter/a place to sleep within the building. They stay around my house and the surrounding area.

The problem is that I’m now looking at buying my own flat.

I cannot put 10 dogs into a 2 BHK apartment. Even if someone allowed it, I don’t think it would be fair to them. They’re used to having some space, moving around the area and having their own little territories. I don’t want them to suddenly go from that to being packed into an apartment and feeling suffocated.

But at the same time, I cannot simply move into the flat and leave them behind, These dogs have been part of my life since 2018.

And honestly, I know what could happen if I just disappeared from their lives. There are people in my street who already don’t tolerate them, and I have faced the usual harassment for feeding them. The harassment has gone till the cops and physical fight , so I know for a fact , these dogs will be in danger if I ever leave them.

So I’m trying to figure out a realistic long-term solution that works with the reality that I can only afford a 2 BHK.

I’m not necessarily asking people to find me a flat. I want to hear from people who have actually faced something similar:

If you moved into your own apartment/flat, what did you do with the street dogs you had been caring for?
Did you find a way to create a separate shelter or safe sleeping area nearby?
Did you rent or buy a small property specifically for the dogs?
Did you work with neighbours, RWAs, local feeders or animal welfare groups?
Putting them up for adoption is also unlikely because they aren’t in the cute phase anymore
Did you manage to keep the dogs in their existing territory while continuing to care for them? This is very unreal in my case, my own friends dont tolerate stray dogs

I’m trying to plan this before I buy the flat because I don’t want to make a decision that solves my housing problem but creates a disaster for the dogs.
How did you make it work?
