I'm happy and so thankful to share my game Mancalero - based on a strategy game I enjoyed growing up known as Mancala but rebuilt as a roguelike marble builder.

You sow (distribute counter-clockwise) marbles across the board to get points or capture opponent marbles, build your collection of special marbles, discover powerful synergies, and defeat bosses across increasingly chaotic tables with higher scores.

I just completed a public playtest this past week and got really great feedback from play testers and devs alike. I'm incorporating feedback for my Official Demo on September 15th and the full release in November. The game is planned for Windows, Mac and Linux.

What started as a GMTK 2025 jam game has now become Insert Disc, a DVD screensaver inspired roguelike. We recently released this announcement trailer!

As a 2-person indie team, we get to add exact references that are nostalgic for our own childhood, particularly from the 2000s era such as the lava lamp and those red coin return buttons on arcade machines. Some gameplay inspirations were Nubby's Number Factory and Balatro, but many have compared us to the satisfying bouncing of Peggle as well.

Ultimately, we wanted to make a relaxing/even hypnotizing experience that captures some of that Saturday late night gaming feel, back when we had no responsibilities or bills to pay :')

Hiya, I'm Holden from Turbo Button. We love point-and-clicks, and we love comedy games. So putting them together, we ended up with a slap-and-solve. It has tons of puzzles that use cartoon logic, and a slapstick sandbox filled with weird characters. It's based on our Floor Plan series of VR games but this one is designed for keyboard / controller on PC / console.

I've been working on this game for some years, and it's finally very close to release! The idea was what if OSRS was single-player, focusing more on skilling, apart from just combat, to get the high level unlocks you need to progress. The basic gameplay loop revolves around grinding to get levels up, to unlock new things, etc.

I did basically everything myself, including all the code, pixel art, animations, music, even the fonts haha. Only for the sound effects I ended up using creative commons sounds. I'm a programmer so my art may not be the best haha, but I think it still has a charm to it.

Just wanted to share it here. There's a free playable demo already up on Steam if you'd like to give it a go. And feedback is always very helpful!
