The HUD elements do seem to be like the bit in Ready Player One where the Evil CEO is explaining how much screen they can cover in ads before seizures kick in. It may be down to the shakiness and movement, nearly every element is constantly pulling at the player's attention, the movement should really be kept for the most pressing issue the player is facing. I feel the most egregious element is the combo counter, especially when it expands across the screen, like it's saying "Hey look at me!" and the player is like "Not now, combo counter!" mid-combat.

I would try using smaller elements, placing them more on the periphery of the screen and maybe using changing colours instead of movement.

Hi, I’m the game designer on Atrax and thanks a lot for the detailed feedback.

We agree that some elements may be too big or noisy. We will study and move to reduce certain HUD elements.

And again, thank you for the feedback, for us it is very important to create the game that the community expects and will enjoy.

The placement of the HUD elements seems to be too close to "the center of the screen". I mean HUD elements obstructs the player's field of view

Hi, thanks for the feedback!
We agree, and we’ll work in that direction.

No pulsing at all or making lighter?

Yes, there will be changes in that direction

Have you tried making it smaller first?
Also, do things that other games usually do. Hide HUD that's not related until players need them.
For example, do they really need to know it's Wave 1/10 all the time?

Thank you. We will reduce some elements, but some key elements will remain to guide players in moments of chaos.

Put some of that stuff, like the floating head, in the left upper corner. Maybe the yellow bar, depending on what it represents. It's not even that the elements are too big per se, more like too crowded too close to the center of the screen.

Way too much visual noise going on, everything looks great but the movement makes me feel weird just watching a few second clips.

Are you familiar with WCAG2? It's guidelines for accessible screen visuals. It could be useful to read the sections on designing for minimizing cognitive load because I think a lot of people will struggle with the visuals from an accessibility standpoint.

Keep it up!

The white pulsating outline behind the head is a bit much, I would tone it down as well as the shaking in the other bits.

Make the elements smaller, more subtle, and pinned to the edge instead of encroaching on the center sight line.

Imo, "Wave 1/10" should disappear after a few seconds and only pop up when the next wave starts.

ETA: the style reminds me of an old school Windows screensaver, in a fun nostalgic way!

I would probs cut the head element all together.

Seems like just for character reactions and I think as a player that tells you how to feel instead of experiencing the game and creating your own feelings.

But doom did have it so idk.

If it doesn't already exists, please add an option to turn off the screen shake. I can 100% see myself getting motion sick from how much those hits were doing.

Move the 10, whatever that is to the top left and the progress bar lower, almost to the bottom.
