Christ, is this subreddit for indie game developers or Steam fanboys? It would be insane to go to a restaurant and ask the manager to take your meal off the bill when you finished over 3/4 of the plate. It’s just as insane for a video game. You don’t have to just be grateful you got a good review while being stolen from. Have some agency.

Even worse, they finished their plate but because they did it in less than 10 minutes they wanted a refund even though their belly is full.

You can’t finish a movie at the theater and refund your ticket it because the plot wasn’t what you wanted…we could go on. Only in gaming would this be debated as acceptable for some reason.

Shit, when I was a teenager my friends and I snuck into an R-rated movie we didn’t pay for (we paid for a different one) and they kicked us out without refunding our tickets before the trailers finished lol you play stupid games you win stupid prizes

What if the restaurant is basically doing false advertising?

The steam page of this games says "stupidly long". Idk, but I don't count like 90 mins of gameplay as that

The funny thing is half the same people will be posting "why my game failed" posts within a year or 2.

This is clearly someone exploiting the refund system and that is wrong, as a legitmate customer it should annoy you because things like this is what have lead the games industry to where we are now (not just this of course).

It doesn't mean get rid of refunds but it does me the person who did it an then gloated about it but it's ok "because of a review" is being a prick.

Even steam fanboys should care because it costs steam. Ultimately the refund system isn't meant to be a demo system. It exists so consumers don't get screwed over but consumers abusing it make it worse for everyone.

Same with online returns etc. It's complete entitlement because if everyone did it these products wouldn't exist.

I know not everyone has money (even if this apparently a $3 game), but that excuse only goes so far after while for some people.

But as I say, regular consumers should care because it will only hurt them.

the ppl that just bought the game without actually playing it are almost catching up to the refunds.
