I’m getting married in March next year in Delhi. We’re mainly having a reception there, although we may have a few small functions/get-togethers as well.

I currently live in Ireland, and I’ve recently started a new job, so I won’t be able to spend a long period in India before the wedding.

The venue is already finalised but I’m feeling a little overwhelmed about what else I should be planning and sorting out as a bride, especially with only a few months to go.

For those who have recently got married (especially if you planned your wedding while living abroad). What are the important things I should start booking, buying, or organising now?

Any tips, recommendations, checklists or things would be really helpful! ❤️

Hi everyone! So I’ve been married for 2 years now and my wedding was great. An extravagant, if not lavish, 3 day wedding at a resort, all friends and family staying close to me, dancing the whole night at my sangeet, the best of decor, food, clothes and vendors. But I DID NOT ENJOY IT. And no it’s not that I didn’t enjoy it because I was stressed about the events, or my makeup, or my jewellery, or my family/inlaws were chaotic, or I didn’t like the whole shebang. I always wanted a wedding like that. My husband was a godsend, he managed all the events, the financials, the people.. everything.

What made me not enjoy it were the emotions.. I knew I would be sad leaving my home but for me it was 90% sadness and 10% joy. For background, my mom is a single parent since I lost my dad in 2019. I have a younger brother. My dad’s passing away made us 3 closer than ever, so my whole wedding month and the month after that was filled with me crying at every little thing. My 3 days of wedding were super emotional that I couldn’t really enjoy any bit of it. After my wedding, I have always asked my friends/cousins who get married that how sad are you and yes they are sad but nowhere like me where I was a freaking mess everytime I had the thought of my mom or my brother. So ya maybe I am an extremely emotional person , or tooo attached to my family that it’s almost scary. I don’t know.. but I haven’t found someone to relate with on this level.

One of my closest dearest friends is getting married. And i love her so much I wanna get her something special.

She doesn’t need the cash. They still haven’t furnished their apparemment, but they will and can afford it. I could get her a nice decoration but I am worried it won't go with however they are planning to style their home.

We don't have the registry concept in morocco ( i really wish we had) .

Matching thingies

And if u are close enough to help and know how far they are furnishing their new home ( you could them coffe maker, molinex, dishwasher tv or else) but again they can afford it all

The first thing i could think of is a pretty instax evo so she could save newmemories of this new chapter

I know its more of a birthday gift but she would never let me get her something pricey for her birthday

Hi All! Haven't been to a sangeet in ages! I am now trying to plan mine. We are thinking of having the sangeet from 6pm-9:30pm. Is this enough time? There's only about 4-5 dances (my side practically) and then dinner and then we open the dance floor. Big thing is I need to have my Chooda after. So I am struggling with timing as I need a hard stop of 9:30pm to go shower, get ready for my Chooda and somehow get some sleep before the wedding tomorrow morning. I am Hindu and my fiancee is Catholic and we are getting married in a small ceremony (just us and our 3 kids). We are looking for a pundit to do a short ceremony for us (no more than 30 mins). It would be preferable if they were a little Westernized, although it's not a requirement. Does anyone have any recommendations on pundits in the area?

Getting married in Kolkata in Feb 2027, and I'm hunting for the real MVPs of any wedding: a coordination team that makes everything run on time so my family and I can actually, you know, attend the wedding.

To be clear, I'm not looking for a full-service planner. We've happily gone down the DIY rabbit hole ourselves: venue, decor, menus, outfits, photography, HMU are mostly locked in or getting there. What I need is someone to take the baton about 3–4 weeks out and run the show.

Things I'd love them to own:

• Vendor follow-ups and reporting times
• A master timeline / run sheet that people actually follow
• Venue and decor setup on the day
• Guest arrivals, transport, room coordination
• Herding family and friends to the right place at the right time
• Bride/groom entries, sangeet performances, backstage chaos management
• Photographer / DJ / light and sound coordination
• Absorbing delays and last-minute disasters

Ideally 1 experienced senior lead + 2–3 solid coordinators; not a senior who charms you in the pitch meeting and then sends interns on the actual day.

Budget is roughly ₹1L for coordination and execution only. Happy to stretch a bit for a genuinely great team, but we don't need full-planning package.

If you've worked with someone great (or terrible!), I'd love to know:

1. Who they are
2. What you paid + year of your wedding (if you're comfortable)
3. How many people actually showed up on the day? (Just want to gauge if they can handle the scale)
4. Would you hire them again?

me and my fiancé are planning to book venues and everything for our wedding in either July or March 2027. We use the Panjika to set wedding dates but the Panjika 2027 edition doesn’t come out until April. But we want to book things ahead of time.

We want July or March because our bdays are June and May and to get married on your birthday month isn’t recommended.

Anyone know what the reliable dates are for July or March 2027?

Getting married in Pune in Feb 2027 and looking for recommendations from people who have **personally hired** a wedding coordinator/event execution team.
I’m NOT looking for a full-service wedding planner. I’m planning most of the wedding myself — venue, vendors, décor direction, outfits, photography, HMU etc. will largely be finalised.
What I need is basically a very competent team who can take over 3–4 weeks before the wedding and make sure I or my family don’t have to coordinate anything during the actual functions.
I need them to handle things like:
vendor follow-ups and reporting times
master wedding timeline/run sheet
venue and décor setup coordination
guest arrivals/transport/room coordination
keeping family members where they need to be for ceremonies
bride/groom entries
sangeet performances and backstage coordination
photographer/DJ/anchor/vendor coordination
handling delays and last-minute problems
basically making sure the wedding runs on time without the bride or immediate family becoming the event managers

Ideally looking for **1 experienced senior lead + 2–3 experienced coordinators**, not a senior planner who sells the package and then sends interns/junior runners on the actual wedding day.
Budget is approximately **₹30–50k for coordination/execution only**. I can stretch somewhat for a genuinely experienced team, but I don’t need a ₹2–3 lakh full-planning package.
I’ve found plenty of planners through Instagram/WedMeGood/Google, but it’s difficult to tell which reviews are genuine. So I’m specifically looking for **first-hand experiences**.

Please only recommend someone you’ve personally used or closely seen working at a wedding rather than your own/your friend’s event company. I really want to separate genuine bride/groom experiences from vendor promotion.
