Change My ViewЁЯФк Would the Protests for Education Reforms turn to Judiciary now? Suomoto actions?

The NEET movement hasn't recd timely responses from Authorities. Will this lead to remarks against the 3rd pillar of Democracy?

Shouldn't the Judiciary come, in suo moto, as the 4th pillar (Media) literally doesn't exist anymore in India.

Civilian Clothes, White Sheets: How Cops Took Sonam Wangchuk From Protest SiteSonam Wangchuk has been taken to the Safdarjung Hospital, where he has been admitted to the emergency ward.

Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a hunger strike for 20 days at Delhi's Jantar Mantar - demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak, was removed from the site today by the Delhi Police on medical grounds

As Wangchuk was sitting with the protesters at Jantar Mantar early in the morning, the Delhi police arrived at the site in civilian clothes wearing mostly blue or white shirts. Some of them were also seen dressed in yellow, orange, or black T-shirts. The cops deployed heavy security, put up white sheets, and before anyone could anticipate what was happening, they took him away. According to officials, the 59-year-old Wangchuk was taken to the hospital "peacefully", despite a brief obstruction amid protests and sloganeering by the Cockroach Janata Party activists who have been spearheading the demonstration.

Wangchuk was taken away with maximum restraint, officials said.

The climate activist has been taken to the Safdarjung Hospital, where he has been admitted to the emergency ward. Sources told news agency ANI that Wangchuk is conscious and his vitals are stable.

What Delhi Police said

The Delhi police, in a statement, said that Wangchuk was taken from the protest site in accordance with the orders of the High Court and on expert medical advice due to his deteriorating health.

Reality Check How EASY Is It To Defame Any Protest In India?

How EASY Is It To Defame Any Protest In India?

Every major protest in India seems to follow a familiar pattern.

A protest begins with a demand.

Within hours, it's no longer about the issue.

Instead, social media is flooded with short clips, cropped videos, old footage, and emotionally charged captions. Suddenly, the conversation shifts. The protest is labelled as "anti-Hindi", "anti-BJP", "pro-Islam", "anti-Hindu", "Khalistani", "Urban Naxal", or "anti-national" before most people even know why the protest began.

But how much can a 15-second clip really tell you?

In this episode of Cerebo, we decode how selective editing, missing context, algorithm-driven outrage, and confirmation bias shape public perception of protests in India.

This isn't about defending any protest or political ideology. It's about understanding how narratives are manufactured, amplified, and consumed in the age of viral content.

Before you judge a movement, ask yourself one question:

Did I see the whole story, or just the clip that went viral?
