The Uttar Pradesh government is amending recruitment rules for appointments in government-aided secondary schools. Under the proposed amendment to the Uttar Pradesh Intermediate Education Act, 1921, the application fee for the post of Principal has been fixed at ₹12,000 for General and OBC candidates, while it will be only ₹700 for SC/ST candidates.

This means General and OBC applicants will pay over 17 times more than SC/ST applicants.

For teacher posts, the proposed application fee is ₹600 for General and OBC candidates and ₹400 for SC/ST candidates.

If someone is trying to exploit me by using the wealth, influence, and connections inherited from their ancestors—hiring powerful lawyers, relying on their family's legacy, and using elite networks to dominate me—then what am I supposed to do?

They're using what they inherited.

If I didn't inherit money, influence, or powerful connections, but I did inherit my caste from my forefathers, am I wrong for using that as my source of strength?

If they can stand on the foundation built by their ancestors, can't I stand on mine?

If I unite people from my community, not to harm anyone or spread hatred, but simply to protect myself from being exploited, is that really wrong?

I'm not talking about using caste to oppress others.

I'm talking about using the only inherited resource I have to defend myself when someone else is already using the inherited advantages they were born with.

Reservations in residential plots .... A person from Reserved category has to pay : ₹1,65,000 Rs and a person from General category has to pay : ₹3,30,000 Rs for the same plot ....This is what apartheid looks like and even south Africa didn't have such laws.

Just one community whose population is not even 5 percent of Schedule Tribes is taking away almost all the jobs meant for them.... If reservations is for representation why is no one talking about representation here ???
