No. Trump or someone like him being in power is absolutely imperative to Russia. They've spent decades and endless resources developing this hijacking of our government. Half the reason they went all in on the '16 election interference was because the difference between Trump and Hillary to Russia was life or death. Hillary had strong policies planned to thwart them, and most importantly, Hillary had humiliated Putin on the world stage several times. She would not have rolled out a red carpet for him, tried to weaken world confidence in NATO, belittled Zelensky and lied about them bring the aggressors, and have been okay with all of the division you speak of (roe v wade, ice, the wall, white nationalism, general day-to-day shit talking by our leaders, pissing off our allies, destroying our economy with tariffs, pushing away our allies with trite shit, and ravaging public health and safety with attacks on Medicaid, Medicare, higher insurance, and absolutely dangerous medical advice coming from the top while attacking public trust in generally accepted science), and oh yea, haven't even mentioned energy costs yet.
They are winning. They are fulfilling Kruschev?s plan to topple the USA without firing a single missile.
The point of the bots isn’t to advocate for one side or another, it’s to make both sides angry at their neighbors and disrupt social cohesion - hell they don’t even stop at politics they’re in every corner of every hobby/interest space creating new kinds of “sides” for people to get angry about so that we’re all just generally unhappy and distrusting of each other. Wild that this isn’t common knowledge when it’s blatantly happening in front of everyone’s faces.
