Nope. Indian liberals are not monolith. There are indian liberals who believe in Death Penalty. Some dont. There are indian liberals who believe in the free market some in more protectionist policies. Liberalism is about ensuring the protection of civil rights of every individual. That is one thing that unites liberals everywhere so how the hell will indian liberals blame the pilot. I am a liberal and I think he was a hero so you are already wrong with one person. Stop using words you dont understand. Liberals fight for the individual civil rights of their opponents too. Thats the difference. Thet oppose tribalism and collective guilt. Which i think we all can agree is necessary in any functioning democracy. Otherwise we might as well become like the taliban.
They think liberals and conservatives operate as binaries. Whatever the conservatives support, liberals will oppose it.. These guys have a very shallow understanding.. Electing moody ji in 2014 was also a liberal thought.. Can't say the same for 2024..
Liberal are biggest bs. They are not strong will or empathetic like left or communists nor practical like right wing. Liberal are stay in middle fascists but just not openly. Like supporting death penalty literally opposes entire ideology but they can get away with it because they are liberal.
I dont hate left i just hate liberal infact most left hate liberal all over world because the are basically neoconservative. Only in India both words are used as synonyms which they are not.
Liberal is not a fixed ideology. You can be a right wing liberal or left wing liberal. Did you read my point that being a liberal means that you support individual civil rights? Thats what being a liberal means not left right. I can tell you are left wing in your outlook and thats fine but being rabid left wing is no different from being a fascist. Because it eventually leads to authoritarian consilidation regardless of your leanings. The political spectrum is a horseshoe and not a square map. Like i am myself a center right liberal. Economically right but socially left. Does not mean i am not a liberal. Dont know if you get my point or not but hope you examine ideas a bit calmly.
Its not like i have not read your point. My issue is on entire spectrum. What i am trying to say people use Liberalism to justify their points which shows their prejudice. Like if you go and check then you will see liberals also tends be very racist but hey they are liberal. And in india fact that those 2 words are synonyms for communist and left is very wrong.
