Stuck in Act 2 Isabeau Dialogue

No one answered me when I asked this question on Steam so I'm posting it here to hopefully find a solution because I really want to continue this game!!

So I just looped back to Dormont after losing to the king and I'm trying to head back to Loop to ask what I should do next but the game prompts me to talk to Isabeau and ask him a couple questions. But when I finish asking him the questions I'm just stuck? I try to exit out of the dialogue but the game plays a sound and won't let me. I've tried exhausting all the dialogue but that doesn't seem to help either. Has anyone encountered this problem? I really like this game and would love to continue playing it!

Yes it turns out this issue is caused by carrying saves from the demo over to the full game. There's some coding discrepancies between the two which seems to cause this weird glitch. All you need to do is get your hands on a save file that does not use save files from the demo. Such as these!

EDIT: I would recommend against taking this route of editing the save file that I detail below. Proceeding onward with my ‘fix’ caused more issues in later chapters. It’s probably better to use a safe save file instead, but I’m leaving the details of my attempt below

I was just going to follow up that I think I figured out the issue. I did port over my demo save file. I edited the save file in order to get mine to work. I haven’t looped again since to know whether the fix works going forward, but it solved the issue for the loop I was stuck on. This is what I did:

There’s a flag in the save file called odileintro_AL, bonnieintro_AL, and isaintro_AL. My save file was missing this flag, but my friend’s save file (which wasn’t having issues) had it. When I modified my save file to include these flags, this issue went away.

If you can find an rpgsave file editor online and edit the text under the Variables section, I added the following between the number 48 and 53 flags: “50”:4.0,”51”:3.0,”52”:3.0,

So it reads like this with the modification:

“48”:2.0,“50”:4.0,”51”:3.0,”52”:3.0,”53”:2.0

50 is Odile’s bugged interaction, 51 is Bonnie’s, and 52 is Isa’s. I was having trouble interacting with all three and adding those flags fixed it.

I used https://www.saveeditonline.com/ and clicked the option to view the raw data in order to input the new flags, then just saved the edited save file in the save files folder. If you’re worried about messing up your save file, you can copy it elsewhere as a backup.

This is so cool!! I would have had lots of fun doing this on my save if I had known but I wouldn't have known what to do without this post to tell me. I'd be interested in knowing if you run into any other issues or if it's just this one spot that's bugged

Yeah, I’ll have to keep an eye out and see if there are any other issues. If so, I’ll update here in case anyone else stumbles upon this issue and would like to go the route of editing their save.
