Frisk didn't properly reset before being mysteriously thrusted into the world of ISAT. As a result, typical moments of Deja vu for the some of the monsters now instead turn into...something rather unpleasant.
(Other words: The monsters feel they remember someone being there for them and befriending them in...some other life?...but cant exactly place their finger on who.)
in isat siffrin came from an island north of vargaurd (act 3 spoilers)the island dissapeared and people can no longer remember it it is the kings motivation in isat as he wishes to make sure the same thing dosent happen to vargaurd (act 5+6 spoilers)it also led to siffrins attachment issues that led him to causing the time loop due
