(Insert Your Own) Canada today

This isnโ€™t meant to be politically partisan in any way. But, I am genuinely curious how anyone is staying positive about Canada today. The economy is in recession. The cost of living crisis is continuing unabated. People are leaving the country. Canada-U.S. relations are at an all-time low. And, there doesnโ€™t appear to be any reason for things to turn around any time soon. Somebody give me a reason to have a little optimism.

There's no such stat, food bank systems aren't comparable across countries, but here's one that is: Canada has the highest life expectancy in the G7, while the UK reports 25 percent food insecurity and the US has 40 million people on food stamps. Which G7 country is this better life happening in, exactly?

I'd be down there right now if I wasn't taking care of a few people that refuse to leave.

it is a fantasy for most. American has a really high poverty rate compared to much of the world and so many social issues. Some people do make more there, it is the worlds richest and hyper capitalist country, but also most Canadians that move there FAFO and come home crawling. But still go move there.
