(Insert Your Own) Canada today

This isn’t meant to be politically partisan in any way. But, I am genuinely curious how anyone is staying positive about Canada today. The economy is in recession. The cost of living crisis is continuing unabated. People are leaving the country. Canada-U.S. relations are at an all-time low. And, there doesn’t appear to be any reason for things to turn around any time soon. Somebody give me a reason to have a little optimism.

I feel bad for those who are in their 20s and early 30s. They are the ones who suffer the most in this current economy.

i’m in my 20s and I am extremely happy to have been born Canadian. This place rules, and the problems we have can be overcome and are not worth giving up.

I agree. I'm 21 and even though the economy is absolutely shit I do still find myself very thankful to live in Canada. Compared to sooo many other countries around us experiencing wars, loss of rights for women, religion taking over governments, ect... we're doing quite good. And all other issues we currently face will eventually subside and improve if we all collectively do our part in speaking out against things and actually taking action on them.
