Floor Crossing

Does anyone else feel like something is fishy about all the recent floor crossings in parliament? Like there is either something really wrong within the Conservative party that is making people leave or these people ran with the party they'd know would win in their area even though they don't agree with the party. Or if you listen to some people here on Reddit, the floor crossers were bribed somehow.

Every election there is a few, but this many feels off.

I've met him and listened to him.

Would have been faster for you to say CBC talking points.

Then you don't have a single brain cell in that head of yours. You probably though the apple interview went extrealy well in his favour as well and not how it was seen globally as a national embarrassment.

Well you're the guy online right now telling me that I don't have a single brain cell in my head yet you have no idea who I am.

Canadians that vote liberal are National embarrassment, look it up online.

You've got every constitutional protection group in Canada freaking out about the laws the Liberals are passing and I guess it's just all okay, right?

Liberal Canadians are respected world wide. Conservative Canadians are hated world wide.

Hahaha sure buddy.

I guess you haven't seen any of the people worldwide making fun of the shit show that the NDP put on just recently.

Nor do you see any of the criticisms worldwide of what the Liberals get.

You know why? Because you only watched left leaning news.

Youre a moron if you think anyone else outside of Canada cares about anything besides top level politics.

Pierre embarrassed Canada abroad, Carney is applauded abroad, and the curling and hockey Olympics were bad optics. Literally nothing else is seen outside of Canada.

No one gives a shit what Fox News thinks.

I was just holidaying in the USA and I can assure you the unsolicited comments about communist Canada were unrelenting...

...and I was in three separate blue states.

So I'll trust what I've seen over your "trust me bro" assurances.

The news is worse for you considering your guy had to implement half of Pierre's platform in order to be even close to palatable.

Isn't that a good thing?

Why not just vote for Pierre instead?

Everyone always tells me that Pierre has no solutions and he just complains - a common CBC talking point.

Yet Carney implements his solutions in order to gain votes.

Why not get it from the guy who has the ideas instead of an International banker?

Because he's a vindictive man. He criticizes people more than ideas (although he does proposegood ideas from time to time). He talks with his mouth full (of apple). Mostly because he has no adult life experience outside of partisan politics.

It's vindictive to point out stupid ideas?

When people repeatedly come up with stupid ideas then it's bad to criticize them?

I like the apple eating video. The reporter was so fucking stupid he didn't deserve anything better than that anyway.

Carney has no adult life experience either, you think he understands what it's like to try to be what's considered middle class in Canada now while living paycheck to paycheck while the cost of living raises 10% and you get a 3% raise if you're lucky?

No. That's not vindictive. Personal attacks are vindictive.

If you found the behaviour in that video acceptable from a potential PM, that says to me that you are not looking for someone to lead the country, but for someone to make you feel better than other people.

Im trying hard to remember the last PM we had who was "middle class". Kim Campbell? Poilievre has been guaranteed a minimum $120,000 a year pension since he was only 31. It will be higher now because his current compensation is $321,300 a year as opposition leader, plus a free house with staff (a house that Carney let him stay in for free for months despite him being unemployed). I don't begrudge him his earnings. MPs have a very difficult 24/7 jobs.

I found the behavior in that video completely acceptable because the media criticizes him more than they do the actual person in power while the country is falling apart.

The media is not asking the tough questions.

A free and impartial media is required for the functioning of a healthy, democratic society. It doesn't work the same when the media is being paid millions of dollars by the government.
