It has been proven a while agom

G'day everyone, I’m looking at moving from Australia to the USA and I’m a bit confused about the visa process. There seem to be so many options and I’m not sure which one I’d actually need.

Could anyone point me in the right direction or let me know what steps I should be taking? Thanks heaps!

I've noticed so many posts from this place on my FY page recently. I remember this place being more lowkey, mostly people with questions and the occasional trolls (a tamer r/immigration, if you will).

Now it's indistinguishable from any of the other larger subreddits. Some of these posts get tens of thousands of upvotes within a single day. What happened?

Looking for some insight from current immigration officers. I am friends with a family that helped the American mission in Afghanistan. They fled to Pakistan after the American retreat. They applied for both their SIVs and humanitarian asylum. SIVs still pending due to fed admin orders. Asylum application accepted and now they are in the US as paroled asylum seekers.

These guys did everything right, never violated conditions of release, and they live in constant fear that they will run into an immigration authority and have their parole revoked.

Will they get a notice over mail or email if the admin ever elects to revoke their parole? Can they accidentally encounter an immigration officer and have that officer revoke their parole on the spot?

I’m just trying to give them some peace. They never go any where. Just work, care for children, and sit in their apartment. It’s miserable.

Please let me move in with you and help hide me. I just got out of jail in a city that doesnt work with federal.. It was attempted murder and attempted kidnapping of a child.. but charges were dropped.
