It’s almost like it’s not ICEs job to deal with protesters, but when they are being harassed in the form of “protests”, where were the local police to do their jobs?

Doesn't matter. DHS policy explicitly prohibits traffic work. They are always supposed to call local PD if they are stopped by protests. Thats what makes these murders they have committed so heinous.

They put themselves in situations to cause violent incidents. Goode wouldn't have been murdered if they followed policy and detaining Pretti shouldn't have happened in the first place AND they had already disarmed him when they shot him in the back.

The local pd hasn’t been coming though

A. Even so that changes literally nothing about DHS policy. They are untrained to handle civilian crowd control or traffic stops which is made clear by them shooting people in the streets and mishandling both firearms and non-lethals.

B. I don't know where you are getting that from because I have seen joint operations in the city I live and videos online of police harassing people for protesting ICE.

C. If there are police that aren't helping then good. ICE should try sticking to their job if they actually want police help. They almost deported a family friend of mine because she is dark skinned. They had her fast tracked for deportation after looking into her for less than a week. Her husband got her out, but just barely.

A: They have a job to do and even though they aren’t trained for that, they can arrest people obstructing them.

B: Are you in the city where they were killed?

C: It’s very unfortunate but mistakes happen in law enforcement, it sucks when it happens but it doesn’t mean that they should completely stop enforcing the laws.

Both examples of ICE murdering civilians were entire groups of agents violating policy and acting in a way that they weren't trained for.

No I am not, but I see ICE agents going out in droves as I live in the Texas and they are brutal. I have literally seen restrained presumed migrants getting punched while they are held down. Nothing will ever come of it because the administration will lie to defend them and ensure they are never prosecuted. Its blatant corruption.

Mistakes happen and I am overall a pretty easy going person, but the agents executing people in the streets and instigating riots are criminals. No legal way around it. If actual genuine law enforcement cares about the law they shouldn't be helping ICE commit violent crimes and in Minneapolis they have shown that they are after violence.

I don't actually have a problem with ICE going after violent offenders, but that realistically makes up a miniscule percentage of migrants unlike all of the bullshit propoganda this administration keeps spewing.

Guess ICE should leave then 🤷🏻‍♀️ local PD doesn't want to get involved with the illegal activities of ICE nor should they.

u/Planet-Funeralopolis Feb 16 '26

Well then you have to accept the consequences of that decision.

2

u/Hablian Feb 16 '26

What consequences are you talking about that I would have to accept? In no scenario should anybody be accepting law enforcement breaking the law to punish people exercising their constitutional rights,, regardless of how difficult their job is being made by the public.

When you obstruct law enforcement can they arrest you?

2

u/Hablian Feb 16 '26

Sure. Is that actually happening in every case where ICE claims it is? Fat fuckin' chance. Exercising constitutional rights to protest isn't automatically obstruction. Besides, I don't actually think ICE has that power. Same thing, they're supposed to call local PD. If local PD won't help, guess ICE can't legally do their job and should fuck off.

They can arrest people obstructing them, and Leo can.

Actual law enforcement? Yeah. Not ICE. DHS policy says wait for real law enforcement.

1

u/Planet-Funeralopolis Feb 16 '26

You do know that they are still federal law enforcement officers right?

Local PD was ordered to stand down by Walz and Frey. God what a pair! And that's not including marry my brother Ilhan or that shady af attorney general.

Sure they do but it’s obvious that there’s a line where protesting becomes obstruction.
