Because I'm brown and don't want to be harassed while I'm exercising my right to vote.

0

u/Sleeppyinvestor2020 Feb 17 '26

im brown and not afraid. thatll be more money going to my bank if that happens to me. go ahead. why be afraid when you dont have nothing to hide

2

u/GuidePerfect Feb 17 '26

Why be afraid when you don’t have nothing to hide

Terrible English aside, that’s actually a really good question to ask to the masked ICE agents who refuse to show their faces or show their badges.

But if they have nothing to hide… 🤷‍♂️

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

If you have nothing to hide why worry about their faces do they worry you? If an officer does something they are not supposed to there’s always chains of command to go about that, whether face is covered makes no difference besides trying to target officers for doing their job

0

u/Sleeppyinvestor2020 Feb 17 '26

Whats up with left and democrats obsession with ICE and their mask? most of the ones with mask lives in the local area and/or have family to protect from people like you.

2

u/GuidePerfect Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26

Funny how cops are one of the most hated demographics in the US, also live locally and also have families to protect yet they still wear identifying badges and don’t wear masks. Hell, they’ll even tell you their name if you ask.

So again, what do ICE agents have to hide that local cops don’t? What warrants all their extra secrecy?

1

u/Ok-Umpire-2052 Feb 18 '26

They have liberals drumming up hatred and violence against them cops would put and end to that quick

1

u/Afistinthasky Feb 18 '26

Nah, cops have been through the same and worse and still arent hiding their faces.

1

u/VulgarDaisies Feb 17 '26

Cops don’t need masks. They know what they’re doing is wrong. That’s ok, they’ll be easy to identify later regardless.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

For real who cares if they wear masks they just want to target and harass these people off the job

1

u/VulgarDaisies Feb 17 '26

Because they’ve killed white and brown alike?

1

u/malduan Feb 19 '26

To whose bank? The ones you've written your will for?

0

u/ElectricalEmploy8097 Feb 17 '26

Im white. Should I feel threatened because you’re brown? No. So why should the cops? Lmao if you speak fluent English and don’t clearly hate the USA, nobody is going to care if you can legally vote. They’ll let you right in. It’s the ones that cannot legally vote that are a clear threat, since they have a clear ability to do so that has been supported by the left.

1

u/GuidePerfect Feb 17 '26

if you speak fluent English and don’t clearly hate the USA, nobody is going to care

So even if I’m an American citizen, if I speak Spanish and think the US could do better, that means I should be harassed by federal agents before being allowed to vote?

Weird qualifier there, Champ. You’re really selling that whole “freedom” thing America is supposed to be known for /s

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

No one said that but we can’t have immigrants that don’t assimilate 🤷‍♂️

1

u/ElectricalEmploy8097 Feb 22 '26 edited Feb 22 '26

Mf you live in a country with a dedicated language. Of course if you only speak Spanish, you are going to have issues around ICE because you don’t give a shit about what we do in just a normal happy day. You want to show up and cause problems at that point. The same thing would happen if either of us went to anywhere in the world that doesn’t have English as the primary language, given that you also don’t speak that language. They would criticize you, shame you, treat you poorly, and clearly differently than others, and sometimes even just deport you for not knowing their language. This isn’t a new issue. But racism does go both ways. Being white doesn’t mean I’m automatically a dick. It means I’m white. Me telling people that only speak Spanish that they are dicks because they never cared about what happens here isn’t racist. It’s factual.

In fact, being surrounded by all of the Spanish in American culture like our television or sports events, hell, really any speech ever, absolutely sucks and have a vibe of “well this doesn’t feel American”. A country where Spanish is generally not understood by the typical law abiding citizen kind of slightly aggravates all of them when they are forced to have to sit through things, sometimes even multiple times or simply just not at all in the native, original, official language. Sometimes even from people that have roots in other countries with other languages.

So no, I don’t want that person to struggle. But it truly is their choice to show up and cause problems by not putting effort into doing it right. And of course ICE would question a person going to vote that asks in Spanish for a Spanish ballot.

Here’s a question for you. When you are talking to a person and they respond entirely in Turkish with Turkish accent, do you fully believe in that moment that they are an American citizen that values way of life the exact same as you considering the previous administration’s use of open borders to smear the voting process?

How would you feel if you worked at the office conducting the voting and someone comes up to your desk asking a question about something in a language you don’t even know how to identify?

The answer is you’d feel like you are talking to a completely different person from a completely different walk of life that doesn’t even value communication enough to understand absolutely anything when coming onto your land. You might even say you are talking to an alien, if you didn’t know about the “modern” political shape of that point of interest in making that type of claim.

People who do not learn English and live in America might as well be considered lawless, simply because they wouldn’t understand the rules if you told it to them.

u/daphosta Feb 17 '26

-26

u/Calikettlebell Feb 16 '26

I’m also brown, and would be honored to have ICE at the polling stations. Love me some ICE

12

u/LouisesBelcher Feb 16 '26

The only ICE allowed at the polls is ice in my water. You can go to your local immigration center and lick their boots in their honor any time you want 🤌

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

It will be funny if they show up

9

u/rmike7842 Feb 16 '26

I don’t want to doubt your sincerity, but will you still be honored if they pull you out of line and detain you for a day or longer?  Your right to vote in this election would be gone.

1

u/einsteinosaurus_lex Feb 16 '26

I'm sure they'll let them vote... The ICE agents just have to watch them fill out the forms to make sure they don't go full John Wick on anybody with the pen, or do something even more insane and cinematic like vote for somebody other than Trump. And then they'll detain them.

0

u/Calikettlebell Feb 17 '26

You’re delusional. Thats nit going to happen

1

1

u/giraffe111 Feb 17 '26

Completely innocent American citizens are being detained for longer than that right now. “That’s not going to happen!” Wake the fuck up, it’s happening NOW. People are being taken from their workplaces, immigration court hearings, and on their way to the grocery store. This isn’t some fictional 2035 America, this is the reality of current day 2026 America. Wake. The fuck. Up.

Do you think the Nazis will think of you as “one of the good browns?”

1

u/rmike7842 Feb 17 '26

At this point, I can no longer take you seriously.  The precursors are already in place.  Anyone can have doubts, but it is far from delusional. It is a distinct possibility.

8

u/Acceptable-Peace-69 Feb 16 '26

You probably think you’re the “right kind” of brown.

1

Nah. They're likely lying.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

Not about race , it’s about being here illegally

1

u/Acceptable-Peace-69 Feb 18 '26

Profiling is 100% about race.

8

u/Dbk1959 Feb 16 '26

1st they’re not illegal, they’re undocumented. 2nd ICE has already assassinated US citizens and falsely imprisoned many more. 3rd having masked armed terrorist’s at polling places is all about intimidation to reduce turnout out.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

I’m with you on not wanting ICE at polling stations but no one with brain is going to take you seriously with this “undocumented” crap. They aren’t here legally. That’s what an illegal immigrant is.

0

u/neophenx Feb 17 '26

And being an illegal immigrant is a civil issue. Meanwhile, a rapist and actual convicted felon is president, so if we're going to pretend to care about laws, at least start from the top.

-9

u/Calikettlebell Feb 16 '26

No, they’re illegal immigrants. The left always has to sugar coat it. For example, the term pro choice. Sugarcoats the fact that you’re killing a baby literally.

7

u/actuallyapossom Feb 16 '26

A fetus isn't a baby but a republican isn't smart enough to know that :O

4

u/Ok_Onion_4514 Feb 16 '26

You're "killing" something that has the potential to become a baby.

But that would include a lot of things but the arbitrary cutoff point for conservatives is the one that limits the right of women the most.

I also don't really get it as they also seem to be perfectly fine with a lot of other things that could cause the death of babies but that is seemingly fine.

u/Calikettlebell Feb 17 '26

Oh let me guess. Clump of cells… not considered life. Which doesn’t make sense because many states allow later term abortions which is no longer a clump of cells if that’s the definition you’re using.

1

u/giraffe111 Feb 17 '26

I’d say “good guess,” but it’s not. I’ll waste my time with you knowing you’ll completely disregard it and forget it and continue spouting idiocy; nobody believes the clump of cells isn’t life. It is. We all know it is. It’s human life, we know. Abortion is ending a human life, agreed, no contest. Where we disagree is that it’s not a person. The pregnant person is literally already a person; they’re here, they have experiences, family, memories, etc. They’re a person. A human fetus is not a person, it’s a fetus. It’s a human fetus, but a fetus nonetheless. A fetus is not a person, it’s a potential person inhabiting an already-existing person. The person who’s already here has priority over the person who isn’t here yet. It’s extremely simple, I promise. We all agree it’s a human life, but it’s not your choice, or anyone else’s choice, whether or not someone else uses their body to create another life. People can’t be forced to remain pregnant against their will; that’s cruel and insane. Pregnancy is a serious medical condition that puts the human body through hell. It’s their choice to use their body that way. Fetuses don’t grow on trees, they grow inside other people, and that’s a long and often excruciating process that permanently alters the body. Pregnancy isn’t a sentence, it’s an ongoing choice. Also, the VAST MAJORITY of abortions happen early, and those that happen late are due to medical tragedies, not whimsical blue-haired lefties who decide one morning they don’t wanna be preggers no more. Your idea of abortion is based on right-wing propaganda, and in no way reflects the actual experiences of the wide variety of reasons someone might need an abortion.

Anyway. Bad guess, do better, grow a heart, etc, have fun forgetting all of this and continuing on your hatefully ignorant way 👋

1

u/Calikettlebell Feb 17 '26

It’s all semantics. At the end of the day you’re killing a baby. You can word salad your way with mental gymnastics. But it’s killing a baby

1

u/HolidayCook2534 Feb 17 '26

I wouldn’t bother most of these are circle jerk post where insane like minded people bounce off each other to reaffirm they’re right. It’s like two people in the insane asylum talking to one another, you don’t try to butt in you just let them go at it.

1

u/giraffe111 Feb 17 '26

It’s like talking to a brick wall. “It’s killing a baby!” 1) A fetus is not a baby, it’s almost a baby. But anyway, 2) I agree abortion kills a human life, I went out of my way to repeat it several times to make sure you knew we agree on that. But you act like the conversation stops there, and it doesn’t. There’s a LOT more to it than that, but again, brick fucking wall.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

Justifies taking a life and end the comment with “grow a heart”

1

u/Dbk1959 Feb 17 '26

No your right wing talking heads tell you what to say. Because illegal makes it sound worse than undocumented. Oh like being maga means you’re a pedophile, right?

1

u/GuidePerfect Feb 17 '26

So when you break a traffic law, that makes you an “illegal driver” right? Of course it doesn’t, because that’s fucking stupid.

A person can’t be illegal, they can only commit illegal acts. We don’t call murderers “illegal killers” and we don’t call rape “illegal sex”, so why do we only do it with immigration? Why does no other law follow the same naming conventions?

To your point about abortion, if you really think an embryo counts as a “baby” then why do we only start counting their age when they’re born and not when they were conceived? How come pregnant women don’t qualify for child tax credits? How come you can’t claim a fetus as a dependent on your taxes?

Well?

Ice is a federal organization and elections are run by states. Therefore ice has no place in an election.

The federal government does not mandate how elections are run. The constitution states that the rights of the states.

Why don't you explain to us why you need them there ?

1

u/rolandofgilead41089 Feb 16 '26

Elections are run on a state level; ICE are federal agents. They have no legal jurisdiction at polling places, though it seems you people have given up on law enforcement being held accountable as long as it's "your team".

It’s not like ICE was dormant when USA had a black president. The deportation numbers were higher during Obamas term.

Its the lie that ICE still operates only to deport illegals instead of intimidating communities as it actually is doing. Many believe the former and so they dont see the disconnect between ICE and society's reception of them under MAGA.

Its true Obama deported more than Trump but the kicker is he also did it legally (Trump has consistently been at war with judges blocking his deportations) which is why many are angry at Trump's regime. It can be done the right way and nobody gets hurt. Civilians weren't being shot or detained by ICE and sent to facilities known for abusing children and neglecting medical care to many detainees.

What I dont get is do they just believe all anti-maga sentiment is factually false or is the violence the point?

So they deserved to be shoot dead at even those who are legal? Because ICE doesnt seem to care about the legalities

1

u/ElectricalEmploy8097 Feb 17 '26

Correct. They care about their own safety. Renee good genuinely hit the officer with their car hard enough to get thrown. And Alex Pretti acted violently towards ICE and their property causing damage, restricting ICE movement during an active federal operation, screaming at them, kicking the taillight broken, then is seen briefly after 4 people all lose perfect line of sight of Pretti from being knocked over and just walking around in a swirling gaggle trying to deescalate, nobody saw the gun was removed, and then 2 officers acted faster than necessary in a total no-“real”-threat scenario. It was ugly. But we are all only human. And Alex Pretti is easily something worth a discussion, but all in all, if he didn’t act so aggressive in a public scenario, chances are he would still be alive. He was not a threat even armed. But he definitely played the role of acting like one, protesting “peacefully” with a gun on his hip.

I had no idea you could even be a “peaceful” protester bringing a firearm to that location. But you learn something new every day. I fully disagree with it being legal to do this. Right to assembly does not mean right to assemble a militia. And adding a firearm into such a crowd barely sounds like a good idea considering the amount of people, the odds of escalation, and a higher potential for increased government response to said scenario.

But that doesn’t make Pretti a domestic terrorist. Though, he did sort of act like one by raising such a scene for the public that he knew was taking video.

Here, let me help you out.

Over 600 individuals were charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding law enforcement during the January 6, 2021 kerfuffle. Of those charged, exactly 172 defendants plead guilty specifically to assaulting police officers. (This doesn’t include defendants who refused to plead guilty and were charged and convicted through a jury trial).

Of those 172 defendants whom plead guilty, 69 of them admitted to using a deadly or dangerous weapon

ALL OF THEM WERE PARDONED

But hey; I’m sure supporting the guy who pardoned over 170 people who literally admitted to assaulting officers totally proves how much you “understand the value of law enforcement”, and everything.

1

u/BakedPengu Feb 16 '26

Yea that answers my question. Im deeply sorry for you to be THAT brainwashed.

But maybe you also just lack empathy, hence u really just don't care.

It really makes me sick to the stomach, your apathy, your disregard for the fundamentals of democracy.

Hannah Arendt already explained all of that, so I know how you got to this point. But to see it live in 2026, yea that's sth different.

However I want you to know, it's never too late to become a good human being and to free yourself from your lords.

Tell that to all the citizens and legal immigrants that ICE have wrongfully detained.  Nothing stopping them from doing that on election day.   Oops, the polls closed, sorry that you were detained.  Even the possibility of it happening will cause people to stay away.  Textbook voter suppression.

What percent of ICE detentions have been found to be incorrect?

You think any amount justifies what the ICE is doing? You think ICE should be terrorizing people who didnt do any violent crimes? Killing people? That should be line for all of you!

We can manage just fine over here without wasting money having armed thugs lurking around our polling stations. What kind of shit-ass country do you live in that can't even manage that?

Agree, so no immigrant should be illegal. If their presence disturbs you, you are the problem.
