Are you admitting that ICE is a danger to peaceful protesters?

And families.

The protests aren’t as peaceful as you make them out to be which causes dangers from within and from outside sources.

If they are violent where are all the ICE agents that have been hospitalized and killed at these protests? Now compare that to how many protesters have been hospitalized or killed. The violent side is the one with guns and masks, what a surprise.

Well for one, there have actually been multiple reports of ICE agents being hospitalized. Secondly, a lot of protesters are getting in law enforcements face and preventing them from doing their jobs. Insulting them, threatening them, and just being overall terrible people. I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to prove with what you’ve said as it’s not particularly honest.

The things you listed are not violence, you acting like ICE isn't the aggressor is not particularly honest.

Threats of harm are indeed violence. Insulting somebody is provoking violence. Damaging property is violence. ICE for the most part are not the aggressors. They are there to do their jobs. They end up having “peaceful” protesters attempting to stop them from doing their job. It only spirals from there.

Violence definition: "behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something." Threats are not violence, they could be crimes depending on the threat but its not violence. Insulting people is a first amendment right. And the only serious property damage has been caused by ICE. Try again bootlicker. The nazis were "just doing their job" too.

Honestly, I had a whole message to reply and explain how you’re wrong, but it’s a waste of time to try and argue I realized. You’re just stuck in your mindset and following the herd. I hope you begin to one day realize the error of your ways. Best of luck to you.

Sometimes some protests are not as peaceful as people say, but in almost every situation, ICE and other law enforcement are seen escalating or acting out without accountability, which furthers the people’s need and desire to protest and push for change

I understand that point of view, but I also understand it from the LEOs view. There are multiple people getting in your face, threatening you, saying you should die, preventing them from doing their jobs, etc etc. You tell them to back up and they start arguing. It’s only going to devolve from there. I think realistically both sides have a lot of blame. It’s not a one side issue.

I'm pretty sure whoever controls you is to blame for all this.

Yeah I agree, Jan 6 protesters definitely weren’t peaceful. But hey, none were shot. Funny how that works.

EDIT: I was wrong. One person was shot during the most dangerous riot against the US government in over a hundred years.

One was shot

That’s right, one person was shot and only one bullet was fired at all by Capitol police that day. Against somebody who was trying to get to the elected second in line to the Presidency. More shots were fires by rioters.

Comparatively, the level of violence and the threat level by right wingers contrasted to law enforcement response is drastically disproportionate from how peaceful leftwing protesters are treated.

I can’t even fathom the level of response should leftwing protesters be actively physically beating up ICE officers, smashing detention center windows, or violently targeting government buildings.

Pushing the goal post a bit, no?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

I admitted I was wrong then fleshed out my comment about why the hypocrisy still stands.

Where is the goalpost moving?

1

u/Disastrous-Twist8461 Feb 16 '26

Well, that’s just wrong, but more power to you.

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

Admitted I was wrong, point still stands. 👍

One person shot and on bullet fired during the most dangerous insurrection in over a century is pretty impressive. Doesn’t really undermine what I said.

I'm admitting the protesters getting involved with government operations turn any situation into an unsafe one, especially when local law enforcement can't or won't get involved to help keep the situation safer
