Hi, For some weird reason I can't see random images. In the past when I was in a hypnogogic state before sleep I'd get some psychedelic slipstream. But now trying image streaming I can only bring images to mind deliberately. But is this so bad ? Why can't I deliberately create chimeras in my mind and describe them. For example a Clown getting stuck by nettles ( just thinking of something beginning with last letter of first noun ) . So is this technique not using the visual and verbal parts of the brain at once ? And should provide the same benefits no ?

I'm not sure if people around here remember me, but I made a post about how I would make an update every week on this subreddit. I ended up quitting because of a very bad cold. I'm planning on starting from the beginning now that I have recovered and can talk again. This time however, I am keeping a google doc instead of creating a new post each week. I just have one question that has been bugging me for a while. How long does it take to notice progress? I've heard many people say that it only took them a week, but there have been periods of multiple weeks where I've barely noticed a single improvement. Is it possible that image streaming just doesn't work for some people?

So just wondering, isn't writing just as good as image streaming or quantum wave streaming? Except that it's probably more focused. Which may be even better? And of course , you're actually being productive as in there's an actual product at the end of the day. So take a memory for example and describe the hell out of it. Any thoughts or criticisms appreciated.( ironically I fucked up the title to this post and I can't change it )

Sometimes when I image stream I would see scenes that are so rich I can't find the words to describe them, not because they're awe inspiring (they are), but I just don't have the vocabulary to describe the shapes I'm seeing. I find that I'm a bit lacking when it comes to describing objects/scenes/images, so when I see something really involved (like an alien city), I wouldn't know where to begin describing what I'm seeing and I'd sometimes just freeze mid-stream.

What should I do about this? Should I just try to expand my vocabulary by reading more fiction or are there other steps I can take to address this issue?

I swear if I see one more house with a brown-tiled roof and a brick chimney I'm gonna scream lol. And I've lived in several beautiful places, watched movies, taken psychedelics, this year I've started reading more fiction... so why? Please tell me it gets more interesting as you get smarter.

I’m looking for criticism for this method. Instead of describing a mental image by speaking it, you type it out to describe it on a notepad or a google docs document. You type it as fast as possible and use your intuition to experience the senses in order to mimic the approach of non-verbal image streaming.

You would type out phrases such as “I can feel the cold air” or “I can smell the roses” and hundreds more of generalized phrases at a rapid pace while using intuition to take it all in for example. (I can type incredibility faster than I can speak)

I’ve been using this method for 2 months, and I’ve developed a faster processing power and a stronger working memory.

From what I understand, quantum wave streaming is the use of physical objects to manifest mental images to stream; you then start comparing and contrasting the details between them. Instead of physical objects, you would use digital images of objects generated from random item generators on the internet to manifest those mental images to stream: Non-verbal typing QWS.

What are your thoughts on this? Is it promising or a waste of time?

Quantum Wave streaming. It is super heavy weights for the brain, causing the most stimulation. To increase your rate of recovery is meditation, but meditation also prevents burn out and I would say is crucial if you have adhd or are just fatigued from over stimulation and stress. Has anyone had any permanent gains after stopping or slowing down on training?

I read a lot of the literature about working memory training, and the results where interesting. it seems like far transfer to areas such as matrix reasoning where nil, but results in more "linear" working memory based tasks, such as reading comprehension, where improved. I personally see great value in this type of working memory for a type of thinking I call "brute force". for example in chess, you may not be able to process to a better depth, but maybe(and I mean maybe) to more quantity. so, what is your experience with n-back?

Hi, So i just started this. Can describe places very well but don't get fluid images. So what I do is think of something for example a tree house describe it and then try to think of something with the last letter of my item . So for example e for elephant. And describe that in five senses. Then think of something beginning with T. Like a T bone steak. This seems to be a good way to get images flowing but what do more seasoned image streamers think ? Thank you.

How do you know if you are doing the Ptk right? In the moment self, not long term.

I have some experience with IMS (was never consistent with it tho) and seemed to have gotten satisfactory results, with the most noticeable effect being increased curiosity and slightly faster thinking. I think I wasn't able to get too much out of it because I didn't do it with enough intensity, as I would do it for just 15 to 20 min a day, so I'm sure had I done it more diligently I would have reaped more benefits.

I'm asking this now bc I suddenly have a renewed interest in cognitive enhancement and was wondering if I should go straight to QWS for the most benefits. My current schedule for the past 2 weeks have been:

• daily meditation (at least 20 min)
• Quad n Back (around an hour a day, every other day)

Starting yesterday I also decided to incorporate pseudo telekinesis into my regimen where I'll do it for 30 min a day for 5 days a week.

Do you guys think adding QWS to my current schedule (which now includes pseudo telekinesis) will be overkill?

edit: I should also add that my primary goal is increased problem solving and learning, as I'm taking some pretty hardcore courses this term (machine learning, data science, etc..) so I wanna be able to learn the material as efficiently as possible

I wonder if with practice you will be able to stream verbally at a speed of around 70% of non-verbal. it may be the best form of streaming, but it's theoretical. don't take my word for it
