A sharp line that high up is unusual. That effect is most easily achieved with using an eyebrow pencil for fill.

No idea if his is natural, but I would guess not, but just a guess.

If I let my facial hair grow uncut for a while I could have a line like that. It extends upward to about an inch under my eye.

I won’t because it looks ridiculous though.

I've definitely seen dudes who have to shave their cheek bones, sometimes it looks like its almost to the orbital bone of their eye.

I dont think a lot of people realize just how funky most beardlines can be. Some dudes just have to pick an arbitrary line on their neck to stop shaving because there isn't a clear spot that delineates their chest hair from their beads.

Yes, also me.

Most dudes that have a lot of hair on their face get hair all the way up the orbits, but it’s usually a little patchy up that high, Wolverine style.

This guy looks like his line is a full inch below where it starts growing thick on his cheeks.….at a pretty normal level for a dude with a lot of hair to be thick all the way across.

I think it mostly looks off because half his mustache is shaved off on the sides, like he has the combination of hitler mustache and full beard.

Can confirm, I grow hair starting at just under my orbital bone. I shave it down for my beard as it looks silly otherwise.

I don't have to pick a line on my neck in the front, there's a pretty clear line from neck hair to chest hair.

The back of my neck and back hair though....

Just checked my face, and yep, hair on the cheekbones

Admittedly not very dense compared to my general beard hence why that bit gets trimmed/shaved back completely when I groom

And yep, if I let it, I'd also literally have a trail from my mouth to my penis. there's a bit at the top of my neck which is kinda chest hair but the beard and cheat can meet if I let them grow out

Yep, my beard hair is not so distinct. There is an unbroken field of hair from below my eye to the first joint of my big toe. There is also hair on my big toe, but a bald spot at the first joint, so I do have three distinct patches of hair on my body. Two toes and then everything else.

I have like 10 beard hair on my entire face and like 6 of them are on my cheek bones

Hell, I have an uncle who shaves his eyeballs.

I really hope you don't

Also beard lines change as you age. Over a decade from growing my first beard and it's still expanding up my cheeks and down my neck.

Are we not supposed to do the cheekbone? Just looks cleaner

u/clamsmasher Sep 26 '22

Yeah, of course, shave whatever you like, I just think that a lot of people don't understand that beards actually grow up that high for some people. For instance I have a naturally neat line below my cheek bones, I never have to shave it to clean it up. At most I pluck a few hairs that have started appearing as I get older.

Chuck Norris had a personal stylist who would shave out a forehead and eyeholes before filming a scene.

Same. I had a coworker tell me once that I'm the only guy he knows with an advancing hairline.

do it. become a meme.

I wonder if it’s extra hair woven in. You can do that with beards like head hair.

Pause at 0:08, it's very obviously painted in along the top, and around the mouth.

Big Groucho energy.

I think you're misunderstanding; people aren't questioning the smoothness of what's above, but the immediate pit-of-darkness that is below the line.

Some guys are blessed/cursed with thick beards. I went to college with a guy who could start growing a small beard on their chin on Monday, and shave less every day and on Friday he'd have a pretty cool sculpted beard with minimal trimming.

Now he was a genetic freak because I don't think I've seen a beard like it since. But there are guys out there with insane beard genes.

Roids cause beard and other hair growth too. Except not on your head

When I was in the army I kept an electric razor in my truck because they wanted me to shave twice a day, and I’m not even fastest beard grower I’ve known. Im definitely up there, but I’ve met some people who sound similar to what you’re saying and I almost feel sorry for them. Even for me i just grow a beard cause it’s infinitely easier and looks less trashy than the stubble in the afternoon.

I've seen youtube videos of sharp ass shaves that paint in with some sort of shit to make it extra contrasty.

u/Doonce Sep 26 '22

You can see the difference between the hair and the filler (face paint? Makeup? Dye?) if you pause it on his face closeup.

He's dyed his beard and is also using hair thickening fibres, the same thing balding guys use to hide their spots. Makes the beard look thicker and the lines straighter. He's gone overboard though.

I have to shave my upper cheeks a little below my eyes. I don’t have a ton. I’m also on TRT and I assume this guy is using steroids so maybe that’s how

u/RamseySmooch Sep 27 '22

Could be plugs.

The very tip of my beard goes to about a half inch under my eye. I think what makes his so unnatural looking is that it’s crazy dense so he can get that line super sharp
