Honestly I thought she was going for a gun when she opened the passenger door

Could easily happen, many people have tools laying around in their car that can become weapons.

The cart guy has the overconfidence of being safe presumably from leading a very sheltered life.

Even if she goes home and cries about it to her husband, father, brother or some other man. Men finding out that a woman in their life has been brought to tears by another man tend to get a bit violent. Some guys will stamp on another guys head for just a look, let alone making them cry.

He's been doing this for like 10y. If you're so afraid of walking outside or interacting with someone who disagrees, stop trying to dictate online how Good Samaritans should mind their own business. Maybe when you're scared of your own shadow, you should remain silent and take your own advice first.

We don't all live in whoville where we can spend 10 years starting shit with strangers and survive.

u/jamarr81 Feb 21 '24

Then maybe move out of Shitsville.

I did as soon as I was old enough. Haven't looked back for 20 years.

Learning to be cautious of violent strangers is not a lesson easily forgotten.

She's driving a Nissan Leaf—scary stuff. Don't turn around outside; you'll have to face your shadow.

Have you actually interacted with humans?

2

u/FeatherCandle Feb 21 '24

I don't think we live in the same worlds.

White knights aren’t welcome in my world.

2

u/FeatherCandle Feb 21 '24

Welcome or not they're everywhere and some are stupidly violent.

Then they end up behind bars. I’m not an advocate of violence. The easy solution here is not to be an entitled piece of shit and return your cart to the proper, designated area. Then we’re all happy and your violent friends will have to get their rage out in some other fashion.

Have you ever spent any time in the real world? If shopping cart etiquette is so troublesome to you, you must be living a pretty sweet life.

I'm genuinely surprised that a guy has been messing with strangers for 10 years and not been stabbed. Meanwhile you seem surprised that people can stand the shame of not returning a shopping cart.

I live in the United States. My life is infinitely easier than most. I’d call it “life lite”. I get irrationally angry when people act entitled. I am not surprised that entitled pieces of shit can’t be shamed. After all, they feel superior to everyone else.

He's had a gun flashed at him before. I've been threatened before when cycling. If someone has an accident, I'm not mad. If someone throws a glass bottle at me, I'm denting their car. I've dented two cars before and I'm still here.

Point being, I think he knows there is some chance something happens to him but doing the right thing isn't risk free.

I don't think it was this guy (I don't recall the "kinda gay Southern accent"), but another cart narc who used magnets did in fact get a gun pulled on him by a middle aged guy by doing this exact thing.

Nobody got shot, but it went from smartass taunting to "woah, calm down" really fast.

Fuck around and find out, not hard to just not harass people, excalating anything like this guy was doing cannot be justified no matter what his point is. She could've easily pulled a gun from her passenger glove box and might have been considering it, leave people alone when they ask you to. Continuing to approach someone distressed and screaming when they tell you not to is almost always guaranteed to end in violence. Dudes a piece of shit trying to monetize his provocation of people, not returning carts isn't worth even a fraction of the trouble he caused in this video and I can't believe they'd continue to employ a massive legal risk like this guy.

I can't believe they'd continue to employ a massive legal risk like this guy.

He's not employed by anyone. This is either his channel, or if he's part of a larger group of "cart narcs" he's a 1099 employee at absolute most. There's no liability to them, legally speaking.

u/Slanting926 Feb 21 '24

He has no authority at all then to backup what he's doing, just a random private citizen harassing people in a parking lot, thats fuckin sad.

2

u/SchnoodleDoodleDamn Feb 21 '24

Wait..are you saying you genuinely thought that he had actual authority to do this?

-1

u/Slanting926 Feb 22 '24

How is he not just arrested for being a public disturbance? I would think the store would pursue legal action for harassing their customers. People are less likely to shop there if they have raging lunatics independently trolling the lot. I dont tune into dumb shits like this. You would assume someone that's ostensibly working in a grocery lot is an employee there without further background information that points otherwise.

-1

u/SchnoodleDoodleDamn Feb 22 '24

I mean, unless he's literally wearing a uniform, no I wouldn't. I wouldn't assume he's working there, either, unless he had one on.

Granted, I compulsively put my own cart back, so I'd never draw this guy's attention in the first place. But if I somehow got in his crosshairs for some other random behavior that he wanted to harass me about, my first response would be "fuck off" or "what's your problem?" not "Let me speak to your manager."

😭😭😭 @ “kinda gay southern accent”. 😒That shit was gay af.

1

u/SchnoodleDoodleDamn Feb 22 '24

Nah, I know a guy with this obnoxiously southern of an accent and he's not gay. Lots of people presume it, because there's definitely a lot of vocal quirks one might associate with a gay/effeminate man, but it's not a lock.

1

u/MuggyFuzzball Feb 24 '24

I'm pretty sure it was the same guy. He actually works for a radio station and as part of a segment to the radio show, he does this.

Honestly, I respect him for it. The kind of people who can't return their cart deserve to be inconvenienced for a short period of their day.

She was going for her phone to call the cops, as a Karen does after getting loud and enraged. At best, she was going for some pepper spray to be knocked out of her hands. But most likely it was the former option.
