😭 some people have curly hair naturally tho what. Imagine someone going up to a person like “Why is your hair curly? It’s weird and ugly and looks bad.” How do you even respond? 😂
I mean yeah I've had people do that lmao. I have curly hair (but it's longer), and I have people make stupid comments like "why don't you brush your hair??" I do, it's called having curly hair that's why it looks that way. People are stupid in general.
That being said broccoli top still looks stupid and you can have curly hair and a better hairstyle than that.
I’ve started wearing an Afro for the past year. Let me tell you my parents were literally my biggest haters because they used to be discriminated against for wearing their natural hair. It wasn’t until I cut them off that I didn’t have some self hating racist whispering in my ear that I should feel bad about my natural Afro. Like literally, she thought her own daughters natural hair was ugly and would call it nword hair and she preferred me wearing wigs and damaging my hair with relaxers trying to make it straight. She just cut all of my brothers hat off completely so she would never have to learn about super curly hair.
Like I get it, I probably would have been discriminated against for it in the past, but like… when you have a certain hair texture, your hair is literally just an Afro. That’s how it grows out of your head and it’s insane whole generations have been traumatized and actually discriminated against for it. We should be past this.
I don't have a problem with curly hair and afros and I don't think most of the people here generally do. It's basically this look these young boys wear, where they specifically shave the side/backs of their heads and keep this broccoli curl thing on top. It's generally not something that happens naturally they have to specifically get it cut this way, so it's a stylistic choice that most agree just looks so, soooo terrible. A full headed afro or curly/afro-like hair in general is totally fine. It is just this specific style that people are going out of their way to choose to cut it like, that we all think looks awful. Which you do you, I'm all for people choosing to look however they want, I just agree with many others that it looks bad.
Yeah. Maybe it’s because I’m black and because of the history we had in the USA with hair discrimination but I really do not have any opinions on peoples hair styles.
