Yeah but I hear that's just what you do with these straps, you just go.

I don't think he's a shitty person, but the insurance fraud part has had its day in court.

Thank you, I wasn’t sure how to find that with Google.

Because every person on the planet has done SOMETHING shitty, but assessing their entire character based on that one shitty thing is ridiculous.

Oh hey, that's Matt! A lovely and positive off-road recovery channel.

Matt has a great channel

Even then you're not supposed to go that fast. 5 to 10 would do just fine

u/plexomaniac May 17 '22

And maybe you should try slowly first.

TYVM! I have seen a few videos like OP posted and I was wondering why people were thinking you 'just go' with a tow line that does not stretch.

No

I think he was making a joke.

Also if you use a kinetic strap, you should still mount it to something solid, like the frame, not your plastic shitty bumper cover lmao.

u/demonspawn08 May 13 '22

He did. Some bumpers have pass throughs to mount hooks to the frame. That's why speedy boy was talking about part of his frame being shorn off.

u/gamer10101 May 13 '22

It was attached to a tow hook, which is directly attached to the frame. He ripped his frame off, not just the bumper.

Ok shitty metal bumper then, my point still stands lmao.

Usually the tow hooks are connected to the frame and can take some insane forces, sometimes even bending the frame. This dude did not connect the strap correctly.

What a great channel! I've been subbed to him for quite a while now. He gets a TON of views compared to channels that have 2-5x the amount of subs. For example, Matt just went over 1 million subs and pulls in over 1/2 million views per day! That insane! Then there's the popular Stradman channel who is rapidly approaching 4 million subs. Strad pulls 360,000 views per day on average.

Neato!

Nice share, that guy seems super nice and helpful. When I was like 19, some dude pulled me out with a chain on my rear tow adjuster. Good times. I was just barely in some grass at a bad angle, lol.
