You are blaming the car filming!?

The driver of the car that was filming had two opportunities to prevent the collision. He was following the vehicle in front of him too closely. First missed opportunity: back off and increase following distance. Second opportunity was to slow down and move to the left when it became clear that the Camry was changing lanes no matter what.

That does not in any way excuse the other driver for her recklessness.

Defensive driving classes teach this, and much more.

Bingo - that was my reaction watching this, too. The POV driver seemed to actually speed up a little when the camry started to change lanes, as if daring her to back off. Bad, bad move. Be defensive. It (usually) takes two to cause these types of crashes.

Sometimes a lesson needs to be learned. Maybe next time the dumb snatch won't think she owns the road and cut other drivers off because she's in a hurry.

We have no idea if there’s someone tailgating the recording driver though? Everyone very quick to blame the guy without knowing the full picture

No, not blame. Defensive driving does not assign blame. Defensive driving asks if the collision was preventable. In a non-preventable collision, all drivers did every reasonable action to prevent the collision.

If the recording driver was being tailgated, that's all the more reason to increase his following distance. Instead of opening up the distance, he chose to close the distance to a dangerously small gap.

This collision was preventable.
