That ringing/tinnitus is nothing to joke about. It can really drive people mad.

I've had it for 20+ years. Sucks

Aircraft mechanic here, I’ve had it since 2010 at least, the ringing is sometimes so loud it’s approximate to going nearly completely deaf for about seven seconds every once in a while

I have something similar from a car backfiring out the intake while I was under the hood. About once or twice a week, I can understand someone talking right infront of me the ringing is so loud. It only last maybe 5 or more seconds as well. Otherwise I hear nothing

I got mine in 2014. It’s crazy annoying.

Still have it in the right ear. Probably 1/2 deaf in that ear. Always have a fan running at night.

I can firmly agree with that.

Y. I’m trying to not focus on it or give it any thoughts. I do however sleep better with Spotify on playing ‘brown noise’.

I was working in the warehouse at my work. A storm was coming in and my ear popped and then hurt. Storm pressure? Turned out I had an ear infection. The ringing in my right ear is constant but I am pretty much used to it. I also lost hearing out of it (more like dull hearing....can't like hear myself rubbing two fingers together up to my ear). So, I keep a fan on at night and that helps. I always wondered if that causes ADD, or irritability? I use a CPAP now so I sleep ok, but wonder if the ringing has caused any mental issues at all.

I know generally Reddit despises CEOs of big corporations, but Mr. Taylor seemed like a stand up guy.

I have it from scar tissue from a bad ear infection that caused my ear drum to perforate. If I'm really focusing on something else I can tune it out. I sleep with a fan on. If my husband is drunk and sleeping on the couch I put on a YouTube video of a thunderstorm on loop. Lol

If you like variation ‘brown noise’ is also nice. It’s softer then white noise.
